Nope, just Eddy and it comes right back to Teddy Talk legit site.  Weird.

Cathy Forcino

Yes, Eddy is the person emailing me.  Hmmm.  Well, I guess I'll change my passwords for here.  Maybe I've been hacked.  Thanks!

Cathy Forcino

Hi all,

I know, it's been awhile.  Facebook stole me away - ha.  Have you ever gotten emails that state you have a message at Teddy Talk, then click on the link to find there are no new messages?  I'm wondering if my account needs changed or if it's an admin glitch with Teddy Talk.  My last messages were 2010, so I don't see anything new.

Thanks!
Cathy

I bow to all you artists who can even create a small bear!  I think the smallest I've ever sewn on a machine was about 5 inches.  I do remember paw pads were set in by hand, though!  I decided long, long ago to leave the littles to the ones who did them so beautifully and recognize my limitations as a big bear artist!

Cathy Forcino

Oh Cyndee, he's just too precious not to keep out all year.  I think he will remind you to celebrate the Christmas spirit every day and bring to mind all the friends (including me!) that you've made through teddy bears.  Yay for teddy bears and good people!

Cathy Forcino

Aren't they all just wonderful?! Congrats to all the entries - you're all winners!!!

Cathy Forcino

Haha.  Aw, SillySu is really Nurse Ratchet?  We hear that from almost everyone who got a new knee.  Thanks for the encouragement.  Luckily, I have a big old tough guy who works hard through the pain without complaining. I always tell the rehab folks to quit hurting him - haha.  I can't stand it as much as he can!  Glad to hear your hubby is doing well.  Hopefully, Jeff will be beach combing without pain for once in his life when summer gets here.

Cathy Forcino

Thank you Lenora!  I hope someone special gets her

Dear Friends,
Ok, I've been chided by one of our illustrious members for forgetting to post on Teddy Talk when I have a sewing machine available.      My bad.  I can't wait to get my husband back whole again and doing what he does for us in a day!  Whew!  Santa brought him a new knee, so he's been rehabbing and it's been an especially gruelling time.  He started out with such a deficit, that they feel he will be as much as a year until he's good again.  So, I've been taking up the slack and I don't think I do nearly as good a job as he does!  Happily, he's now able to do most of what he does for us in a day so my time is a little more organized.  So, I currently have a Daily Stitcher on my website that's available as well as a really fantastic and unusual Barely Celery Featherweight that was make in the UK.  And on Ebay I am selling a Centennial Edition with so many extras that Mom is teasing me that it looks like the entire Singer store comes with it!      It's a super great Featherweight and if someone wants all the bells and whistles, this is the one!  So, forgive me for not being up-to-date with my postings!  I'm running my treadmill at top speed!

Hugs,
Cathy

Thanks all for the "best knee" wishes!  Jeff goes in on the 16th, so we're not doing the holidays again this year.   Poor guy.  Seems every holiday they drag him back to Tampa General!  I've come to count on their Christmas decorations - haha.   It's a pretty straight forward surgery except for his half-heart, so I'm a little anxious.  Ok, I'm a LOT anxious and basically a basket case but I'm trying to ignore it.  I forgot to check the subscribe button for this post, so I didn't get your well wishes.  Don't think I was ignoring you, please.  Oh yes Cyndee, of course I always offer lay-away especially to bear people    Now, I'm checking the subscribe box so I get your posts this time.

Cathy Forcino

Hi All!  I think I posted this first in the wrong place since I can't find it.   My husband and I have been working hard getting a few more Singer Featherweight sewing machines ready to go to new seamstresses.  I have them on my website and some of them are absolutely GORGEOUS!  So, if you told Santa you want a Featherweight for Christmas I may have the one you want.  Jeff is going in for surgery on the 16th, so he wanted to get as many polished and pretty beforehand.  Santa is going to bring him a new knee, so he'll be laid up for a good month, so he's been a busy elf in the meantime.  Wish us luck and if you see a Featherweight you want, PLEASE mention you're a fellow ted artist!
Hugs,
Cathy

Hi Sheryl,

You can download a free copy of the owner's manual for your treadle model 66 on this link:
http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html
As far as the other parts, you would do best to Google your model number and then "parts" to find what you need.  I wish I could help you more here, but other than the Featherweight and an occasional 301 I am not up on the other models.  Hope you get it working - good luck!

Hugs,
Cathy

Dear Cheryl

Hooray!  I just got home from a dinner party and checked this email before I even saw the eBay listing and learned you won.  That's terrific!  I am so excited for you and promise to take great care in packing and getting it to you safely.  Thank you Cyndee and Nancy so much - what an honor to help you get your Featherweights!  I'm just so tickled you're all so pleased.  I'm entertaining guests this weekend so I haven't been able to monitor my emails and auction like usual.  What a lovely surprise!

Hugs,
Cathy

MARILYN!!!  You have a rare and valuable Featherweight - one of the rarest!  Can you believe you had it all along and never knew it?  Oh my, but you must take that little gal out and use her.  Please feel free to contact me if you need any help.  The only thing different you need to remember is that your thread goes in the eye of the needle right to left, opposite of most sewing machines.  Good luck and good for you!  Have fun!
Hugs,
Cathy

Oh, and I can ship to England no problem  I've shipped to Japan with great success.  However, my UK friends would need to get a converter pluyg.

Cathy Forcino

Thank you Nancy!

I'm always so pleased and relieved when someone nice and especially a nice bear artist gets one of my Featherweights!  It makes it so much easier to let them go.  I'll be getting her all packed up tonight and she'll be on her way tomorrow.   Would LOVE to get a photo of you with your Featherweight when it arrives.  Don't forget - any questions and I'm always here.

Bear Hugs,
Cathy

Ah Cyndee, it's official.  Like me, you've become addicted.  I'm sorry I can't help you.  I haven't been able to cure myself yet but if ever I hear of a Featherweight addiction cure, I'll be sure and let you know.    But then, how fun would that be?  Thanks so much.  I'm sorry you broke your finger!  How terrible.  Hang in there and take care.

Hugs,
Cathy

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know I have a few more sewing machines I'm going to rehome.  I just listed one on ebay, but if there's something special you're looking for please let me know.  Be happy to match you with what you're looking for and I try and treat my bear artist friends extra special~!

Hope you're all ready for the fall weather and then the holidays!  Good heavens, but the kids are in school already.  I think this may have been my shortest summer ever! I feel like I played all summer like I was 12 again, although I had a bit more responsibility at home with Jeff being laid up with a bad knee.  All in all, it was a good summer.  Hope yours was as well!

Hugs to all
Cathy

I wanted to give Baylee a Kool Aid rinse for Halloween last year and boy was I lucky to have read an article about a woman who owns a beauty shop in St. Pete.  She gave her big white poodle a Kool aid rinse in pink for breast cancer awareness  Some mean-spirited person turned her in and she was arrested!  Apparently there is a law on the books in Florida banning the coloring of animals.  It was enacted years ago when it was trendy to give your kids dyed peeps (baby chickens) for Easter.  Remember that?  I do, but then I might be giving away my age - haha.  It was a stupid tradition and most of the peeps ended up dead every year.  Not very nice, but gee whiz.  This lady was trying to do something good and put regular old Kool Aid on her dog.  So, I was spared the embarrassment of having an arrest record because I made my little white doggie rainbow bright by adding Kool Aid in her bath rinse haha.  Now would you all have let me live that down?  I hope not!  Really, Cyndee is right.  These dogs are perfectly safe and aren't unhappy.  They have no idea they are funny colors and they have been trained from puppies to be groomed without being stressed or upset.  It's just part of their lives.  You see them at the shows and it's just amazing how calmly they allow their groomers to take care of them.  A good groomer will practically cause them to fall asleep!  But don't worry - I won't let Baylee in the Kool Aid!  Heck, she would probably love it and drink it all up anyway.

Cathy Forcino

Oh, you're a doll!  Thank you so much. I think it's fixed now.  I didn't save my original settings for some reason.

Cathy Forcino

Hi all,

Well, I finally got a new bear on eBay and for some reason, their new form is giving me fits.  I had blocked the bidders from countries I don't ship to prevent fraud bidders (china, etc)  Well, my new listing has that block, but it didn't allow the countried I DO ship to in the form and I missed it.  So, I went in and unblocked the bidders.  Will that be enough to allow international bidders?    I hate to stop the auction to fix it and have double listing fees.

Oh dear.........

Cathy Forcino

Thank you Denise,

These are perfect and may be exactly what I need. BRAVo!!!

Cathy Forcino

Oh and sorry Todd couldn't figure it out for you!!
He stayed up until midnight and I made him quit trying and go to bed!!  He had to get up at 3 am for work!! He gets going on something and you can't drag him away!! Gotta love the guy though
I love him too!!!!!

Cathy Forcino

Thank you Tracy!

Now I don't feel so stupid -    Hmmm.  I like the idea of having a template made for me.  Or two or three!  I'm going to see if there is someone on eBay selling them - has to be, don't you think?  I sure appreciate all the advice.  Everyone is so helpful!

Hugs,
Cathy
