It is easier now I make miniatures as I can work wherever I like and just use a lap tray.I have my sewing box within reach of my favourite chair too as it is so annoying to keep getting up and down for bits and pieces.
I usually end up with 4 cats all fighting for space on my lap so if I lose something it is usually under them One of my Siameses has a habit of pulling all the pins out of the pin cushion and then drops them on the floor and one of my other cats is a silent thief and will take bear bits and creep off with them when he thinks I am not looking

I buy fabric that I like the look of although I do choose what I know will suit my size bears even though there are some lovely furs to choose from.I store my fabric in plastic boxes and when I am making my bears I just choose the fabrics that appeal to me at that time.I will then choose what pattern and size bear that I want to make and go from there.I have never had a picture in my head of what I want to make as I can only decide what to do with a bear once I have stuffed the head and put the eyes in.The character will then start to emerge and I go from there....even the accessories are decided at the end.

What a sweet little boy Kimi
I have two Siameses...a blue point girl and a red point boy and they are wonderful cats and so loving. One thing to be careful of is to never leave any sewing things about as Siameses are so nosey and in to everything and my red point will pick up pins and anything else that you might not keep out of the way. They are a very lively breed and love to run about.Sorry to hear about Spooky but at least this little boy will help you get over your loss.I can't wait to see more photos
