Hi everyone,
I finally added my personal pic (if I did it right)  I always like to look at the face behind the bears so I thought it was time to show my face.  Here are some other pics too.  Oh, thats my dog Scrappy in the personal pic.  Here is another pic my hubbie took today , me with some of my bears ( bears from my first intercal mohair order) the other pic is from last Christmas with my husband Geoff.  He is the plant ops guy for a chocolate factory (actually they do other candy too) but he does come home with chocolate all over his work boots!  Yes sometimes I have a chocolate covered husband.lol

Hi Barb,
Debbie Bliss also has a knit teddybear book out with some cute outfits but again, they are made to fit her bears, but if you can get it at the library it has some cute ideas in it to check out.

I've been thinking of trying a craft show this fall myself.  I know a person who did 2 craft shows last year.  She sold 4 bears at one and zero at the other.  She also raffled off one of her bears at the craft show.  Her bears usually sell for around $125 and she got abut $400 from the raffle.  I don't know if I would do the raffle or not, haven't really thought that far in advance.  She said the raffle was a big draw and brought alot of people to her table.  Good luck

Hello everyone,
After an extremely crazy day at work, I came home to my FIRST INTERCAL MOHAIR ORDER!!!!!!!  I've only purchased 3 pieces before and they were all bought separately, but all thats a changing!  Being a very consciousness shopper (ha ha) I couldn't help but order enough to use the coupon.  Because I bought several small cuts I got lotsa different pieces.  Tonight  I just keep running my hands over all the fur and trying to decide what to start first.  Can you see the smile on my face ? I think I'll be dreaming of bears tonite.

First let me say, I wish my bears came out as lovely as yours.  I was very excited to join TT but when it came to posting pics of my work  all the insecurities and doubts  that went thru my mind.  I am relatively new to bear making and I have not made a bear yet that I am totally satisfied with but,  I've learned alot in the short time I've been on TT and learned that this is a great place to try out my wings.  After reading all these posts, I am encouraged.  Like so many others have said, I really enjoy making bears, they are in my head,  the smile they put on someones face  even for a moment , makes it worth it.  I think you are very talented and your bears are great!!  So, keep on stitchin'

I'd like to introduce Sebastian.  He is made of a gold curly, matted mohair with a dark back.  He is 11" tall but has bent legs and is designed to sit at 8" tall.  He is filled with polyfill and glass beads.  His face is lighted shaded and is needle and scissor sculpted.  He has german black glass eyes and is 5 way jointed.  He has a wee bit of a tummy as he loves to eat donuts!

Today I placed my first order with intercal.  I thought I would  take a peek at TT before I ordered and just get to Intercal with the link on top of the screen. So, I see a post about someone else just ordering and click on it.  I didn't know about the coupons!!!! The coupons were just enough incentive to  be alittle indulgent in my ordering!!
It is like getting the shipping for free and then some.  Now I just have to wait.  I can't believe how excited I am.   I just can't wait to run my fingers thru all that mohair!!! I just had to share my excitement.

I am soooooo jealous of all you multiple pet owners,  I would love to have another dog or maybe a cat.  I think it's wonderful that so many of you have adopted pets from shelters, strays, etc.  I had 2 dogs before from the shelter and they were so loveable.   ONe was a mutt and the other a 72 lb. beagle that had a disc problem in his back from  severe obesity ( that was the vet's official diagnosis).  I did get his weight down to around 50 lbs, but that dog loved to EAT!  My hubbie is the #1 spoiler of our dog and I think he is weakening so hopefully soon there will be another little fur ball in our bed!!!
