I've got a couple of those guys living around my garden and I also know when they are out and about because my dogs also get excited. I very nearly chopped one up the other day because it made a mad dash for cover as I approached with the grass cutter - had to swing a hard left to avoid him/her - thought I did a pretty smart move on the mower

:bday: MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! Thank you Tami for the daily pictures which always brings a smile to my face
I wish you all an enjoyable day of fun, food and laughter and lots of lovely pressies
Hugs Lyn
What a wonderful job you have done Jane, well done you!   I'm glad you suck my head on a dancer as I love dancing
Don't know who I am dancing with but he looks very nice!
Certainly made me smile and a giggle or two - thanks Jane, way to go!!

How nice it is to have a nosey at the Christmas trees and deco's - some wonderful looking trees! Ok, I've been a very busy person today and decided it was time to drag out the Christmas stuff and after all my hard work (hubby sat on his bum supervising, men!!)
I got the girls to pose in front of the tree to show it off

Your end got it wrong! The 'ID Recorded' is done by the Australian Post Office to indicate that the person sending the item has been identified or is know to them. These are addition security measures to assist the postal carriers and the receiving postal system. We have to produce a driver's license or some other form of ID.
There you go so they weren't dangerous kitty noses!

 At last I can join the land of Bloggers! After much shouting, swearing, table thumping, loud groaning I have my blog up and running AND my website has had a face lift
I am now ready to swop blogs with anyone who would like to and I would love to hear your comments too
Hugs Lyn
Well done Melissa and a great site and good luck to you and hope it grows and becomes a big help and interest to everyone who stops by. I have just signed up too
Hugs Lyn
I stopped by your blog - loved the drawings!
I wish you good luck in your new venture and look forward to seeing more
Hugs Lyn
 Great fun even if it is a bit of a time waster, who cares!!
I also got my first Christmas card today from Raewyn of Woodbury Park bears......thanks Raewyn! ![]()
I think I am going to join you ladies and remove my Ebay link too once my listing has finished. It has been a real struggle this year trying to sell on Ebay which has left me so disheartened and frustrated
It also does not help either when you see bears coming on Ebay like they are coming off a production line in a factory - all different sizes and fabrics and they are selling every time! How do they do it when you know that they are not even covering their material costs!
So come January or maybe before that I am more than willing to give the other 2 sites a try and I will certainly let my collectors know about them too. It doesn't help with everything in a bad way for everyone around the world which I am sure is playing more than a big part when it comes to people spending money.
There you go I've now had my 5 cents worth!
Go Teddies GO!!!!!
Hugs Lyn
What a little sweetie the Papillon Butterfly dog me thinks - very pretty when adults
Received it loud and clear - no problems with it - printed the list of already
Thanks Melissa
I've been to your blog and left comments. Lovely idea Shantell
Welcome back to the bear world and I will celebrate with you as it is my birthday month too

Hi Us Bears!
I've lost count of how many I have in my collection but I reckon it must be around 50+
I've been collecting since 1995 and the bears range in size and just about all of them are artist bears with just a few Steiff, Merrythought and a very old Farnell.
I don't have any favourites as I love them all
Though I make bears myself it is still a joy and thrill to own others - wouldn't have it any other way
Hugs Lyn
Sounds like fun so you can count me in Melissa - email on the way ![]()
Oh shame! How very disappointing for everyone.
Hi Lisa
Thank you to all for taking the time to think and write something about Mr Bear (that's what the aunt called him) which I have found to be interesting. The aunt lived in the UK and that is where the bear came from (sorry! forgot to mention that oops!) didn't even cross my mind to mention that before.
Ok, now for a bit more information from me.... as far as I know no extra stuffing was put in the nose and he is no where near sunlight or dust. He is jointed (wooden joints and metal pins or something like that) including the head as I can feel 2 disk in there and is stuffed with wood wool/shavings from head to toe and the paw pads and the stud collar is the Rexine fabric. It also looks like he may have had a growler as I have just found a wooden disk with a small hole in the middle and some small pieces of paper still attached to the disk. His height is 33cm (13 inches) and it seems the original colour of the mohair was a light yellow golden colour. I reckon the mohair would have been of medium density, shortish and the curly wavy type.
Not sure I would feel brave enough to tackle restoring his nose or the hole in his toe and the one in his tummy
Hugs Lyn
That is sooooo cute! What a little sweetie

I inherited this old bear some years back from hubby's aunt after she had died and all I know is that he is from the 1930's. So, if any of you ladies out there can tell me more I would love to hear from you
The poor thing is quite beaten up and I think I would rather leave him that way rather than have him restored
not sure, hmmmm!

Oooooohhhh, ummmmmm! A toughie but I do have a few Steiff's like the Petsy's and Swarovski Poinsetta flower bear. A Merrythought Cheeky - the purple Millennium one but would love to have some of the older Merrythought Cheeky's. Looks like I have to say these two makers then. I have a bear from the 1930's but I don't know what make it is - I did once send pictures to someone who was suppose to know about old bears but she couldn't really tell me much. Maybe I should post the pictures on here and see if anyone has any idea's of what it could be
Hugs Lyn
Great idea and something to look forward to so you can count me in Peta! I think the idea of a form sent out would be good and helpful and when ever you do it is fine by me
Overseas shipping is not a problem for me - do it all the time just about.
Hugs Lyn
I do think some artists look like their bears but not sure if I look like my bears - I think I do in a small way
Oh yes, there are plenty of people who look like their dogs and having been in the dog showing world I became pretty good at telling the type of breed a person would have, great fun! I've had quite a few different breeds but don't think I looked like any of them - though I think I could have passed as one of my Old English when I had the Afro hair style
The two breeds I have now? I don' think so!!
Hugs Lyn
Yep, not a good time at the moment for anyone but don't they say it gets worse before it gets better
I reckon we just have to hang in there! I try to switch off to all this doom and gloom and think positive especially where the bears are concerned - yeah, sales on down for me too but I try not to let it get to me and carry on happily sewing and improving. I think I would get bad withdrawal symptoms if I was to stop making bears - enjoy it too much!
Put on a happy face! Hugs Lyn
