This is Maisy
She stands up at 12" tall.
I've combined a really dense purple faux fur qwith some more delicate and soft pink.
She has a needle felted nose and some freckles
I have really loved making this one even though some parts were a right pig as the purple is just soooo dense!
I hope you all like her I've only one piece of fur left now and I'm not sure I have enough joints so this may actually be the lsat one for now lol
I've heard similar before one artist said Happy days are for sewn noses, angry days are for needle felting!
After attemtping a sewn nose once I'm a needle felter lol
Hodge podge here, couple artist bears picked up in a bear co-op both OOAKs
my pride and joy of my hug are my Kaycee bears (Charlie bear fans have to check them out) and they
are made in the UK and have just launched some stunning mohairs that are going to kill my wallet lol
oh that is just ADORABLE!!
Todays effort and a whole new bunch of lessons, the main one being pay more attention to where I place the holes to attach the arms! hence a rather shrugged look to Pete.
Pete (named by my hubby lol) is in a lovely cinamon faux fur with black cashmere paw pads and a needle felted nose.
he stands at 9.5" tall.
I'm really pleased with this one, my favourite so far from my lil home made hug :D
fighting to get 2nd pic to behave!!
sorry my pics are pants need to get batterys for propper cam
OH My! smaller is really hard work isn't it!!
ok in future I need to check my supplies before I start... no eyes or joints really small enough so used what I had in my normail impatient way lol
I'm really pleased with he, she stands up at about 5" tall. in a cute tight curl faux fur with faux cashmere paws and inner ears.
thoughts please remember this is bear 3 though lol
oh and tips on sewn noses appreciated, I think I failed to stuff her nose firmly enough
I love the use of a patterened material on his paw pad and matching it to his accessorys.
Just beautiful!!!
aww thank you everyone, I've just had 5 smallish pieces of faux fur delivered so guess what I'm playing with tonight :D
Just need to decide which 1st, tight curly brown, dense rich purple or silky pink? oh decisions decisions lol
wow just managed to finish him was a very close call on the stuffing front!!!
But here he his, bit of an oddball bear really, been dadt and not used a pattern at all (bad habit in all my sewing!) and just kinda cut and went
Called Bomble as when I finished him and stood him up he instantly reminded me of a womble lol
He stands at 17 inches tall and is in a wonderfully soft plush with a densh black undercoat, silver tips and lovely shiney long guard hairs.
For my 2nd plush I'm really pleased with him even if he is a but "funny looking" lol have learnt a lot along the way too
Sue you are one very very talented lady he is stunning I so wish my OH would let me buy more bears I'd love to have one of yours!
right body arms and legs all sewn... having a bit of a fight with the cotter pin in his head may have to remove and stick a wobble in instead as the pin aint long enough (lost 2 nails already hehe) Also looking at my stuffing bag I think I'm going to have to wait on a delivery to finish him! don't think there is enough left lol
I do keep looking at his hooter though, its off centre and man I got carried away its flimming HUGE, may remove and redo
He looks a propper march hare love him
wow he is just brilliant, what a fantastic expression!
Wow he's looking fabulous!!!!
and the other pic (i hope)
oops!! tis playing up
Been playing with this one, and have FORCED myself to stop before he's bald lol
thoughts please, can't decide if I bother making the rest of him or not lol
bein mass produced in thailand I doubt there is any trimming of the pile prior to the pieces bein sewn I've seen this quite frequentky when I've been tempted by a charlie, they tend to go back on the shelf and I oggle Kaycee bears instead
sorry no help on how to fix it
ty everyone
I cut the pattern out of a cereal box and have it to use again.
I have enough of that fur to make another too and 6 other lovely plush fasbrics in the post :)
far cheaper way to extend my rathe small hug of 2 Kaycee bears and 2 ooak mohairs lol
New to this and this was my 1st attempt, from scratch with no pattern!
WALTER
He's about 12" tall seated, sculpted face with needle felted nose.
Annoyed I gave up trying to fix his rather cross eyed look lol but he's cute all the same and became a gift for my mother in law
Would appreciate input from all (Esp if I should give up now and save my wallet from the cost of decent fur!)
