Lovely Kat well done! You must be a natural!
I was in Whitby only yesterday, like you its my spiritual home, having gone there all my life for days out etc, now I live in Bournemouth every visit home is marked with the usual trip to Whitby, chips in the car for lunch and home with a cake or other sweet treat! I just love it... my aim in life is to move there I am sure I would be happy with my lot in life if I could wake up to Whitby seagulls screeching and a huge hill or two to climb before any type of work... its just not the same anywhere else!

Julie it was wonderful to see your bears in the fur... your bears are lovely and well deserving of their awards!
xx Julie.... another Julie xx
Hi Every1....
sorry its a bit after Sunday, I have been up north visiting my family. I am really chuffed to say that Dipper and I came first place in new bear makers category!
It was a bit scary but Im really happy to have entered and attended the competition... it was lovely to meet up with some of you tt'ers and see all of the wonderful bears in the fur!
On a rubbish bit of the day though I took more than an award home... I managed to fall down some stairs in a cafe in Brighton and have also been awarded with a very painful side and attractive blue bruise to match dipper! I don't know if I hurt more or was embarrassed more!
Of to have a relax in the lounge and do some bear making... I feel quite enthused by the whole affair!

Dawn I love your bears and cant wait to see them in the flesh along with some other fluffy lovelies! I would like to bite James... or share a cuddle and cake with him one or the other!
Hope to see you all there... in the style of a stalker!

Yay..... I just got a call too! Dipper has been shortlisted for category 9!!! Im so chuffed (mind you now all the worrying about if the cat eats him before we go or if when they pick him up all of his limbs fall off!) I was not hoping for so much as he was horrid to photograph.
Well done to every one who has been shortlisted, and for once I will get to go to the ball and see all the lovely bears and hopefully meet some of you? Should we wear carnations in out jackets to recognise each other?
Hugs

HI Roxanne,
I had to let you know how you need to decorate real fairy cakes... or so I was brought up to have! (Im from not too far from Newcastle) You need to make them smallish in size and then when cooked and cooled take a knife and cut a disk out of the top you put into the dip you have made some butter icing (frosting?) with the disk you have cut out you cut it in half and arrange the halves back on top to resemble fairy wings ( or butterflies)... I will try and draw this if it doesn't make sense or you cant find a pic. Im sure that will make her smile!
You could also look at scones ... you have them with clotted cream and jam. How about a Yorkshire pudding? That's savoury basically batter cooked in the oven... google it. There is also a stottie which is a soft bread make in a disk shape but you poke a hole in the middle... a big flat doughnut type of shape. I dont know if you will find a recipe for that... when I have been to the bakers on a visit there ( Newcastle) I always get one. Its a soft white bread.
If you need to know ant more give me a shout! Try googling BBC Food which is linked to the BBC for lots of recipes - I guess you will need to convert the measurements though.
Good Luck and hope you make some lovely food!

AWWWWW I Love KITTENS!!!! I remember when Pixie came to live with us... she was a bit odd, all head! Now shes all body! They are so cute I hope mummy cat is doing well and looking after her babies. Im broody for a kitten now!
Hi all!
Well the wedding is all over and done! I'm now Mrs Fellows! Although I keep forgetting and saying Cook! The day went well a few odd turns but I guess it wouldn't be a wedding without them.... like as I left the door broke and would not shut... my lovely brother mended it thankfully! I really enjoyed the ceremony and apart form giggling a little bit the supposed scary bit was lovely! The first dance was my worst moment  - we had to call for back up from my parents as we arnt really the waltzing kind! My lovely husband had arranged for a night in a really posh hotel called the captains club for us, which I didn't know about so that rounded the day off really nice! I have attached two little snaps but when I get the real ones I will post a copy of a nice one!
Well as well as my wedding this month I was also featured in TBCI - which allowed for me to fill a goal for this year, I was so happy to be in the mag and have gone and sent my mum a copy as she couldn't get hold of one. I was so exited to see my bears in the magazine and so touched when I spotted mr F secretly reading it when I was getting the hot chocolates in borders! Soooo pretty good month!
Well thank you all for producing some lovely bears even on the big day I dropped by for a loiter! Every one is sooo talented, I cant wait to get back into the swing of things and get super creative!

Awwww Jane I am sorry to hear about your pains - I have not had acupuncture but a friend did and she said she felt great after - hers was to relax and she did. So I guess you wont know until you have tried, I would suggest just pricing around and see what the specialist say. I hope that you find some rest from it soon, I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I'm sending a hug!

I have a concentration face, I frown and sort of pout but not in a [INVALID] way in a grumpy way. This happens at work also which leaves one of the loveliest ladies I support asking me "whats wrong with your face then?" I try to explain I'm not sure she always believes me!
I can also do a bit of leg waggling but never sit on the edge of my seat always slouched in a mass of fluff and thread.
xx Julie
Manuela I love your work, hes great! I keep dropping hints to my boyfriend that I would die for one of you creations... he has got as far as watching on ebay! Cant wait to see more
