All of you have been so kind with your congrats and I appreciate each and every one of them. I pick up the items later this afternoon so hopefully, I can get pictures tomorrow and post them and their ribbons.
Thank you, thank you all

Have fun at your class. I don't do reborns but lately I have been recycling dolls from the 70's and 80's. It is so much fun. Is your kit from Berenguer?
Good thing to know. I have always had a webmaster take care of mine and have never had anyone email me to switch but I now know not to answer this type of email. Thanks!
Thank you, thank you all. You are all so gracious and I appreciate every comment.
Cooper is a handsome dog even without his fur. Most of the people in my area of the country do shave this type of dog except for the face so once his whiskers grow back he is going to be really cute.
Thank you all so much for the congrats. I know it was only a county fair but this was the first time of entering anything in a fair competition and for all of them to come away winners thrilled me. There had to be somewhere between 200 and 300 entries in my division.
That is sooooooo cute!
I will post pictures with their ribbons on Wednesday next week. I go pick them up on Tuesday night.
I won on all four items I entered into my county fair. Went over to the fair this morning to see what I if had any ribbons. Four First Place ribbons and One Best of Class ribbon. I entered a faux fur bear, a faux fur dog, a doll that has 4 faces and a green Fairy Princess doll. The Fairy Princess won Best of Class.
I am thrilled so I just had to tell everyone.
I don't know where you come up with all these cute pictures but I sure look forward to every day's pictures. Thank you!!
The way I do it is just put the tuff in a seam. If I want some on the top of the head, I have a seam in the gusset that runs between the ears. On the ear ones I add the longer fur on one corner of the ear seam. I don't know if this helps in what you want to do.
I took a bear, two different styles of dolls and a puppy to our county fair yesterday. Lucky they have dozen of sub-categories to put my stuff, although I was confused as to which sub-categories they fit in. The general catagory was Arts and Crafts, Seniors and then all the sub categories. They are judging on Monday but the fair isn't until next weekend and then we can't pick the things up until the following Tuesday after 4pm. It is a 100 miles round trip to get there so we will be on the road over the mountains three times in two weeks.
Our state fair isn't until the end of October. That would be a 5 or 6 hour drive to get there. Think I will pass on that one.
Here is the link. Beverly is a great gal to work with and even though it might not be on the website, email her and see if she has anything like it. The black I got wasn't on the website. http://www.imstuffedfur.com
Use to always do a arts and craft show on Labor Day but haven't done in a while and I miss them. So it looks like we will spend the weekend at home and probably watch the fireworks, from our house, that the casino puts on. It is 6 miles from the house but we are able to see all the air ones. Trees and houses in the way of the ground ones.
I think we are all in the same boat here Thee are more ideas than there is time.
Love your dolls. Great job and I bet they will sell faster than you can put them out.
Cute bear.
It is just a short curly plush and I just got some in black from a supplier here but I know she doesn't ship overseas. There has to be someone over there for you to get it from. It does have a stretchy backing as it is not an expensive plush or anyway what I got wasn't. Good luck and hopefully someone else can help you.
Very good
No one has mentioned Sharpie pens. What would we do without something to trace our patterns on the fur? The other things I could not do without is my assortment of different size dowels. I have sanded some to a dull point and others are still blunt on the ends. This is what I stuff all my bears and dolls with. I use two or three different sizes for every bear I make depending on what part I am stuffing.
No Daphne, I haven't tried it. I have seen them but because the socket I use has worked so well for me I just have not bought anything else. Over the years, they have changed the plastic joints and they are so much better than the old ones which would loosen up over time and these newer ones really stay tight but they are a bugger to get snapped together.
I forgot about the one piece I could never do without. That is a socket which I got from my husbands tool box. I know that most everyone doesn't joint their bears with the plastic locking joints, but I do as I make only child safe bears. The joints that I buy have a heavy thick center post and there is no way to get the pieces together without lots of muscle. I set the socket on a hard surface and push the plastic washer on with everything sitting on the socket and the center hole of the socket is just the right size to push the center post through. It takes both hand on the top and all my weight to get the joints together. I would be lost without that socket.
I am with Gemma and the Fiskar scissors. I have two pair and I couldn't cut out any fur without them. I don't know how I even cut fur for 20 some years before I got my scissors 3 years ago. They do take some getting use to but they better never disappear.
What a wonderful set of puppies.
Using the bendable hair curlers should work. They are covered with foam and I use them in my dog tails.[img][/i
