Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Thank you Francy, that sounds a great idea, it would be great to make little bears to be used like that. I would be sure to make some as gifts for the children involved in the wedding too.

Thanks for the replies and thank you Michelle for the links, Sarah loves some of the ideas. Bobbie the month is April, so spring ideas would be wonderful. There is no colour theme as Sarah and Matt have decided to use all colours. Sarah is even pondering on having rainbow dyed roses in her bouquet. Any more thoughts on bits I could make would be wonderful, thanks.

My lovely daughter Sarah is getting married and I need help with ideas of decorations that I can make myself. I could go out shopping and buy all the finished products, but where's the fun in that! Also it would be special to make the decorations and to give the wedding a personal touch. I need any ideas for table and room decorations. The reception venue is a little unusual as it will be held at a Railway centre with old steam trains actually in the reception room, now that's different don't you think! Sarah met Matt, her fiancée had arranged to meet at a railway station, so they decided to bring their first meeting into the wedding. The room has a railway platform running between to old steam trains, one of which has Sir Winston Churchill's carriage attached.I just knew Sarah wouldn't have the usual type of wedding with a reception in a beautiful room with all the frills etc., but both of them have really thought out of the box with this one.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the wonderful creations. I am sorry that I have not posted some of the pictures that I took, my hands were quite shaky whilst I was taking the photos. Also with so many sizes of bears I need to reset my camera to get the best pictures, this is not possible as time is against me.

Once again the HUGGLETS show was fantastic. Irene and Glenn Jackman do such a wonderful job in organising these shows for us all, we are lucky to have such dedicated people to run these shows for both the artists and visitors.

I can't believe that it's time for the Hugglets show once again, but it is. Just one week to go untill the next fabulous show. It will be especially great for me this time as the show is on my 21st  birthday...(I'm lying just a tad, lol)

Entry times are 10.30am to 4.00pm. Free entry tickets for each event can be
found at the back of the UK Teddy Bear Guide or can be purchased at the door
£4 adult / £2 child

Thanks Sue Ann for sharing this link showing a FEMALE orangutan. Orangs are so like humans, I have spent many, many hours studying their behaviour. One time I watched a ten year old female orangutan open a bottle of orange juice, turn the lid upside down and proceed to pour juice into the lid before drinking from it. This was repeated over and over until her thirst was satisfied. Then the orangutan then opened five strawberry yogurts and ate them with a spoon. On another occasion the same orang opened cartons of fruit juice by pushing straws into the cartons and then handed the out to the younger orangs in her bedroom. The young orangs all drank through the straws, one found if you squeeze the carton you have a fruit juice squirter.        so funny.

Happiness is knowing just how well my kids are doing in life. My daughter has just qualified as a dietitian and got engage to a lovely guy and my son is acting in London and running his own theatre company.

Hi Karen, I just used my Samsung P1000, which is a simple digital camera that fits into my pocket. My more expensive camera has so many settings on it and is much bulkier that I prefer my Samsung. I thought the pictures were not so clear this time, as I was struggling only being able to use one arm properly and having the shakes most of the day. Glad you enjoyed seeing them.
