Thanks to all of you for your helpful replies. I have purchased lots of mohair from Edinburgh imports and they had such a small (and, yes, expensive!) list of 3" pile mohair that I thought there might be another source. Looks like Edinburgh it is--but a sale is nice! I guess I could dye it if it is the wrong color--right? Ginny
I have a quick question for all the mohair experts and nominees out there! (Congrats to you all, by the way!) I have made a few mohair dogs and someone who has just lost her beloved Pekinese pup has asked me to try to make one for her. I would need longer mohair--probably 2 - 3" in length. I have seen some wonderful creations made from mohair of that type, but I have not seen it for sale at Intercal or other mohair sites. Any suggestions as to where to look for it?? I'd appreciate the help!

What an adorable pin! I can not wait to make one. Did you use glass eyes? Could you tell me what size they were? This pattern could be used for many other holidays, too! What fun!
I also can not get the print box to appear, but I'll figure something out...! Thanks!

Good advice. I have located all the mohair bears in that room that are not in a cabinet. They are all going to get the deep freeze, but my freezer is too small to do more than one at a time...so it will take a while. (For some silly reason, my hubby need to freezer for food) Than I will do the others that are in the cabinet. So far, only three out of ten have issues. Since the room is a bit damp, I plan to not return any of the mohair bears to that room.
This is a great website-thanks for your help, everyone!! Ginny
Thanks- will do! Ginny
I am having a problem with some bears that have been stored on a shelf in a room with very little sunlight, but some dampness. Some mohair comes off on my hands and there are tiny yellowish hard specks on the shelf where the bear was sitting. I am afraid some sort of critter has entered my bears to "feed" off the mohair. Help!!? Any ideas out there? Ginny
