of the names suggested so far i vote for Riley! he's beautiful!! and looks like he'll have th elife of riley as the expression goes! we always take about a week to name our pets until we get to know them..then sometime it just pops out! hence the cat named slippers ( who loved to tuck his fron feet into any shoes i vacated!) the setter named hoover because he sucked up and ate everything in his path!  Heart was the 2nd alaskan malamute..so named because losing the first one broke my heart ( icewinds hearts ease..now my business name) and the first was name Thor..so close to a neighbors dog i adored ( samoyed) when i couldnt have a dog of my own..that when a mal named Thorin came up for adopyion i knw it was meant to be!  Nokia my current cat is named for the snow tires,,she has 4 dbl paws..and Snickers is as his dad says " a little bit nuts and a little bit sweet!" a springer in every aspect!!:):):)  we looked for a wheaten terrier when Heart died but couldnt find one,,my dad had a springer when he was small,, and i did live the setter ( english) too but we wanted a dog with no memories.. for us..and dh said no more malamute fur!! bear_original:):):)  great pet photos!  deb

Laura thank you for trying so hard to show me the answer! you've been very sweet! i do see things better visually! i guess a flow chart is sort of what i mean..one central first page and then links to 6 pages bythis artist and then another 6 pages by this artist etc..but do not link to each other except on the menu..one line bottom of page..and one the one central listing home page..its a link to a document i believe is what my program says..enough with me!!  you all have lovely sites and bears! and i look forward to seeing more! hope to get some photos taken of the new bears im working on! got to finish this wedding stuff i promised to do first! she loves the bouquet...so im half way there!   hugs to all deb

Laura..thank you so much for the information! let me clarify my question a bit! first of all ..i learn stuff backwards  ( anybody else do this? i hear its a trait common to COA's,,but maybe its just me! too excited have to dive right in!!)   meaning that have a web program that does all the html for me,,( yes thats cheating) and i am familiar with the linking..designing pages..its the structure of a multiple site ive never seen! can i make them like little cells? all linked? and the photos are one pages in thumbnails and then on another page for larger ones..so im not sure how many pages would be standard ? all the usual HOME..BEARS>>etc.and then a page for each larger picture? or are there other  places to store photos..which is  i believe what you did with yahoo//  i tend to buy mohair and then learn to sew...offered to do my step daughters wedding flowers ( i love to arrange silk flowers) and then learned how to make  a bouquet..i jump all over magazines when i read,,but i am not really as scatter brained as i sound! i have a file manager thru earthlink but i just find it confusing,,  thanks for your help!! deb

and i have a quick? question for all you talented techies!! i have had a site and designed one that has other artists also..but we stuck to just one page each ( except i had my own originally..just added them like one long page with links..Now i want to make seperate  larger sites.and am confused about this somewhat..not much out there that i can find explains web hosting...how many pages is good for each site? including pictures stored for larger viweing? and how are they seperated and linked? okay that wasnt quick..at the moment ive goofed a link after the last update..but dont want to fix it until i update it all!  thanks deb

thanks for the info on the service dogs i will pass on the link!  the kitties are beautiful! we have one cat named Nokia after the tires..she has 4 dbl paws ..a company here in vermont received a shipmennt from s  carolina..a mower trimmer that they wanted upgraded..when they opened the box they found also 5 newborne kittens!!  all alive and well ..and now nursed by a surogate mama kity from the shelter.. and have all been adopted already! they figure that the mower was kept in a barn in the crate ready to ship and a stray found the crate a convenient place! bear_original:):) deb

snickers was just going around checking out all of the presents! he had dog bones and new toys for him but..... all that lovely crunchy paper!!! great pictures!!  i love to take animal pictures..photography..family pets and friends kids..how do they train a 4 mos old dog for autisim? same idea as therapy dogs? i have a friend with a new choc lab thats maybe 5 mos that's interested ...my inspiration for bears comes from the strangest things..maybe the way two items look on a table..a comic strip i read,,my husband thinks that my train of thought is a little scary to follow sometimes!!:):):)  deb

smsnickers.jpgi love dog stories!! we lost both of our dogs to age and one to cancer two years ago and this past fall took the leap and gave our hearts to a new puupy an englsih springer spaniel named "snickers" daddy says hes a little bit nuts a little bit sweet...holy cow had we fogotten what a new baby was like!  here in vermont we are a group of friends and bear artists ( makers?) that all have new puppys,,we have a pupy mom group and try and get together for play dates etc..its been great fun and we swap kid stories and woes all the time abd laugh at the nutso things they do! springers are water dogs and we have a choc lab in our group ,,they like to dump their water dishes and sit in the puddle! the rest are shitzu's ..one two year old and two new babys in the 13 week range! mine has  a taste for kitchen sponges..the kind with scotch brite! hes swallowed two! and of course all the mohair scraps he can steal!  a dear family friend has king charles and she adores them!  deb

thank you for the replies! they are not actually marked as on sale..thats what the artist(s) told us us later..all the reasons she didnt like the show and why she had to reduce her older bears...and how she had to sell them to make any money at the show..i didnt know what to say!    i have used twin sized quilts to cover my table before..they are heavy enough to stay put  if you want to cover more of the front than the back,,the cheapy $ 29 repros..great for windy days but not for storing or lugging!  deb

Has anyone had an experience with other artists selling bears at shows that were not on sale..but had prices cut in half to move inventory or whatever..twice ive been to shows and the booths next to me were selling their "older " bears for $ 50.00 for 13 inch bears...is this a common practice? im quite discouraged about going to one show in particular..  my own learning curve has been that the first few shows i did ..i had people asking to buy some of the displays in the booth but not the bears! i do love to decorate! but realized i was not making the bears as much a focal point as i had thought!  deb  gorgeous pictures of bears and booths!:)
