You make me blush!
Patsy, the fur is a synthetic fur (is that what you call faux-fur?) with a quite long pile : black with white tips. I bought that fur in a local shop.
Mary, I made the beading work myself (oh dear, it needed such a huge lenght of thread!!!!) and it took me many hours. but i am thrilled with the result.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

I hope some day we can afford too to go to Australia.
Donnot forget to take lots of photos!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Meet Praliné, my lattest bear.
Praliné is a 23 cm tall baby bear.
I used some (Schulte?) wool fabric (like mohair but with cheep wool pile) from Der Baer (Germany).
I used leather for his pads.
I hope you like him.
He will be for sale at my next show in France on Easter week-end.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Meet Pepi, a small baby bear with a big name (ever heard of Pepi I and Pepi II?).
I made myself his necklace with seed beads and cat eye beads : it took me a few hours, as I hand weaved it.
As his necklace looks like pharoah necklace, I decided to give him a pharoah name, hehehehehe.
It was not fun to work with this synthetic fur due to its black colour and long and dense pile.
For the pads, I used fancy material I got from a great Aussie friend of mine.
He has a multicoloured embroidered nose in shades of white, blue, pink, green... Sorry, but you cannot see it well because of the sun.
Pepi is 23 cm tall.
He will be for sale at my next teddy bear show in France on Easter Week-end.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Thank you soooo much for sharing these beautiful photos, Jane!
All these bears are beautiful.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
He he he he, that reminds me Genevieve asked me too an interview about my bears.
I still have to choose pictures to give her...
I was waiting to be on holidays to take more pictures outside.
Her website is great.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Oh my! oh my!
I am in love for this beautiful panda!
For sure he will make his familly the happiest in the world.
Christine, you are brilliant!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Thank you very much, dear friends!
Lynette, I e-mailed you back. You are lovely.
Thanks for the warning, Shelly... Are you sure that there is still possiblilty for allergies if only a small amount is used into the nose and feet of the bear?
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
I am not lucky.
Bear Country UK stopped selling teddy bear making supplies. They used to sell kapok and once I tried it, I figured out I could not do without it as I love it sooooo much.
So I browsed all the links for teddy bear making suppliers I had and could not find any selling some kapok but Noble Craft (UK).
The problem is that if I buy there, it will cost me £30 just for posting and I cannot afford to buy over 10 kg of kapok...
I use kapok only for noses and feet, so I donnot use big quantities.
I did google kapok on French pages, but very few were selling some and when they did, prices were much too high.
So if you have a good address, would you mind sharing with me, please?
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Jane, you did very well! Your new critters are brilliant.
I do love very much Boomer.
Good luck at Hugglets!
I guess that if some monkey lovers come there they will be delighted with the ones you made.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Great big bear, Iva!
He has the perfect size for huge hugs. Please, give him a hug for me!
I love the photo with him and your minis.
Well done!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Hey, Paula, what a great new style!
You will have to count me among the people who love this bear, definately!!!
Delilah is a red beauty, no doubt about it!
I am sure she will find a good loving familly in no time.
Way to go, Paula...
Errrr, would you mind make more of this kind?
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Oh, these are so beautiful scenes you made Louise!
These girlies are as sweet as little charms.
I really love the tea pot too.
I am sure they will be very succesful at the show.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Fantastic work, Paula.
Ì am in love for White Diamond. He is such a beautiful heart. I cannot stop watching him.
He sounds the perfect size for a big big hug.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
I just finnished Perce-Neige yesterday.
Perce-Neige is the French name for snowbell.
I made him with dense creamy white synthetic fur. This synthetic fur is great for scissor sculpting.
He is about 23 cm tall with bent legs.
He has English glass eyes in an olive colour matching his olive felt pads.
I used a perle cotton thread in shades of green for his nose.
I made his necklace with seed beads, 2 cat eye glass beads and an aventurine gemstone heart pendant.

Beary hugs,
Sophie.
PS : He will be for sale with a few other bears at my next teddy bear show in France on Easter Week-End.
I finally decided to show you Acacia, which I made last december.
I tried something new for his nose : I made it with beads.

I hope you like him.
He is about 21 cm tall, with green mohair.
I made him a necklace matching his nose.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
You are kidding, aren't you?
I really fell in love for this darling bear!
I envy his future mom.
So please, make more!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Pauline, this girly bear is gorgeous!
She looks so pretty in her dress!
Well done!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
