Thanks for naming a bear after me............just kidding. Cute bear!
I had this faux fur I didn't know what to do with and then I thought why not try something funny and way out there. Who was borne but Jeb with his eyes on the butterfly sitting on his nose and his arms trying to reach it. He is ten inches tall, 5 way jointed, ultrasuede padded nose and ultrasuede paws with sculpted toes. The little yellow butterfly is a button. Hope you have a chuckle on such a funny looking little fellow. I did put him on my website if you care to look. www.ejcrafts.com
As a lady several years past the retirement age, I live by the above. I use to run around and try to please everyone and never take time for myself but now I have learned to "don't sweat the small stuff" and "everything will get done in time". Now I just relax and do everything on my time frame and yes the body has went south and the aches and pains are a bother but I don't worry about it any more. Life is great and I enjoy every minute of it.
What a sweet little girl.
Pansy is my favorite one because I love purples and lavenders, but then I like Buttercup too. Great work!
Yes Robert, let us know how it goes. I have had a set of locline in one of my supplie drawers for years and have never used it. Maybe it time to give it a try.
Love your crocheted bears.
You are so talented with a crochet hook. I tried making a crocheted bear once, what a disaster!
Just have to say THANK YOU JANE. The pictures are wonderful.
Thank you for your comments. It has been determined that it is a boy and his name is Alexander the Great. He was named by Charlotte.
He can be viewed on my website, www.ejcrafts.com if you care to look.
Hugs,
Christine, I don't think there is a quiet time to visit. Kids are out of school mainly in the summer months but there are year around schools here too which gives kids off at different times of the year. I would say not to come in our summer months because it is hotter and there are more people there then. Have you tried to email Universal Studios too see what they say? They should have a website. I haven't been there for years but it is a fun place to visit. Maybe some of the people who live closer to Los Angeles can answer you better. I live about 4 hours away from there.
This is my newest 10 inch bear made of a soft tan faux fur with long black and tan guard hairs. He is 5 way jointed and has brown locking eyes and a brown suede nose and tan suede paws. No name yet as I can't decide if it is a boy or girl. He will be listed tomorrow on my website.
Wonderful
Love those tiny puppies. I applaud you for the beautiful work on such a tiny scale. I don't know how you do it but it is great!
Robert, I love the face on this bear. Great jbo.
So cute..........I had to have my hubby come to see it.
Bobbie, I just checked out the google.com/sasha4368 and it has been removed by google.
Absolutely stunning group of bears. I bet they will all be gone before the show is over.
Mikki, this is the most adorable puppy. I hope some day that mine will look as good as yours.
This is weird what WalMart stores carry what. My local WalMart stopped carrying fabric about 2 years ago but they carry the Morning Glory stuffing in the 5 lb boxes. I, of course, like the PolyFil and they won't get it for me. I have to travel 50 miles one way to another WalMart and they carry the 10 lb boxes of PolyFil and I ususally buy 2 boxes. They also still carry fabric.
I am glad that you found the stuffing you like.
I really love looking at all the snow pictures. I have lived the the desert for 30 years and only see snow on the mountains to the north of us a couple of times a year. Yesterday the temp was near 90F and today 75F. You would think I lived in the southern hemisphere this week.
These note cards are sooooooo cute. You should have no problem selling these.
For inspiration when I don't know what type of bear I want, I go through all the patterns I have collected over the years (some have never been opened, just got them for the pictures) and all the bear making books I have been collecting for the last thirty years. And then there is the book I put together on bears from all the old Teddy Bears and Friends magazines. I couldn't keep all the magazines, storage problems, so I made myself a book of the pictures of bears. This really starts the ideas coming and then I can go an create something I want to make.
Here is my first attempt at needlefelting. I don't know if it is good or not but I have tried. Now I need to know what kind of prices these type of animals sell for. Any ideas???
Not much to add but to say that bear making is very, very addictive. I was a sewer so I started with a pattern and went to a couple bear shows and bought a couple of books. My first book was autographed at a bear show by Doris Michaud. The book, "How to make and sell quality teddy bears" was published in 1986 so you can see how long I have been making bears. Good luck on your first bear and all the many more you will be making
WOW is all I can say.
