They are about £8.50. They have about 65 colours to choose from...amazing quality of pigment. I just love them

I use landscape dyes and they are great for painting too . Very natural colours. With loc-line it's  easy to use a cotter pin as you just heat up a thick darning needle till it's hot enough ( red hot) and then push it through the locline to make a hole big enough to push the cotter pin through. It works well...I do it all the time.

Do you mean a ruffle or a collar. If it's a ruffle, there are lots of types of lace edging which you can buy in various widths...the. You just gather it up, sew it and either sew the ends together to form a ruffle...or what I do is to add a press stud so it can be removed from the bear.
If it's a collar, have a look on eBay for lace collars, there are lots around and can be altered to fit a teddy quite easily. I bought a lovely one in a thrift shop for £1 last year.

Thanks so much...I just keep trying new things some work ...some don't...
I like how he turned out!

jenny

This is Dune...he's the biggest bear I have made for ages. I made him using Intercals Tissavel synthetic fur fabric. I think he's turned out very well! I love this fabric!1390983744_image.jpg

That's a really clever plan Thelma. I just do mine straight into the bear. I sometimes needle felt the eye whites but generally I use felt. The reason I think it works better than ultra suede is the texturally it's similar to the mohair so blends nicely. On tiny bears I would needle felt the eye whites. Then felt the lids...or use suede which I attach in much the same way as i do the eyes using long threads either end if the lids and a dab of glue to hold it in place on the glass eye.
Good job everyone has a different method!
