Wow, Tammy it's great!!! You sound so different than I thought you would!

I think having a message like that is lovely - it makes it SO personal.  bear_thumb  bear_flower

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

I absolutely LOVE him Sophie. He is completely adorable!!!  bear_wub

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

I'd like to see the different styles. It will also make people study your table for longer.

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Umm, that's a difficult one!

How about wiring it (like an armature)? Then it would stay in place.

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

That's a fantastic photo Daphne!!

The tough part about asking for a new pattern for an ooak, is at what point is a pattern new? What if I only change the head, or the arms. Or what if I change every piece, but only very slightly. There really are only so many ways to draw an arm or a footpad.

I guess that's why I don't think an ooak needs a new patten.

I couldn't agree more Heather! There is only so many ways you can change a pattern before the final result (the bear) looks NOTHING like your signature style! Which I'm sure most will agree is what we all aim for - to have a recognised 'style'.

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Yep, I'd have said they are 'OOAK in a series'. They may be from the same pattern but each one would be completely different - no 2 the same.

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Yep, that's what I define as OOAK too Laurie!!  bear_thumb

Jenny, if your buyer really wanted the bear on eBay - she should've bid higher!!!!

Well..for the record I believe one of a kind ( ... only in my opinion..) means that this bear is different in some way from the other bears that I make. For my part I feel it would be unrealistic for me to discard every pattern that I make after each bear.

I couldn't agree more! I would never get any bears made if I drew up a new pattern for each one! All of my bears are OOAK but the same patterns are used....they all look completely different!

Below are some examples....these bears are all from the same pattern.

As a collector, I am often put off by bears that are one of an edition....I much prefer OOAK as you are owning something unique!

Oh Lynette, it must be absolutely terrible for you and your family. Sending wishes that Tristan makes a speedy recovery.  bear_flower

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Wow, I've never made a bear that big!!

She's lovely - I really like the detail in her face.

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Brenda, I can imagine just how you feel, especially with breakables and Artist Bears - I wouldn't want ANYONE to touch them!!!!  bear_angry

Hope the move goes smoothly for you. bear_flower

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Hi Jenn. Yes, I have made a bear for each of my son's that have safety joints and safety eyes. I used synthetic for both of them. My eldest takes his to bed with him and although it's starting to look 'well loved' it holding up!

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

Poor puppies... bear_cry

I have EVERYTHING crossed for their recovery...

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

I can't understand how anyone could leave an animal on the side of the road... bear_cry

They are both beautiful...I hope your sister keeps them!

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

    I have the same problem as Daphne!!!!

Pumpkin & Pickle Bears

I have built up callous's on my finger tips since making bears and also one on my right index knuckle from cutting out all the fabric (it's where the handle of the scissors sit!)...still, at least it's not painful anymore!!! bear_tongue
