Great news Susan!
You're completely right about making your home anywhere & I agree with you that it's a good idea to give yourselves a year off to get to grips with things. We were flooded a couple of years ago when we'd only moved into the house 3 months previously & it seemed like the end of the world at the time as we had to move out for 6 months. But we've been back a while now & it just seems like a distant memory & the insurance company did a beautiful job (with approx £50,000!!) & we are so lucky to have a beautiful home.... As we've said previously, everything happens for a reason & this could be the making of you! Plus you get to keep your dogs.... What could be better?!
Keep us posted & remember we're all behind you so GOOD LUCK!

Hi Dawn,
Are you aware of any of the details of the different categories? I've done a bear which fits into Cat 1 (miniature dressed/undressed) but I've done a sort of setting/display for her? In the rules of criteria it says that only bears entered in the Group catagories can use a" tableau" but (I'm being a bit thick here!) do you think that's the sort of thing they mean? Not sure of the definition of "tableau"?
Hope you can help & sorry to be a pain asking stupid questions?!
Hugs,

William's gorgeous, Beth!

Hi!
I don't know if it's any help at all but have you looked at www.bearycheap.com? I only found it through a link on here yesterday.... It's based in Australia but their prices seem really reasonable even with shipping? As you can imagine, I went to town on my order yesterday!
Worth a look anyway...
Hope it helps!

  LOL Pat!!!!
My noses end up where I think they look best regardless of seams etc? I don't think there are any rules really as long as the bear has the right expression.....

I don't know if I'm wierd or just a cheap-skate but I use dental floss?!!! It works well for me in sculpting, eye & nose fixing? The only time I use something different is on short-piled dark coloured bears where the white floss may show.... then I use the same as Katy. I don't use the top-stitch thread all the time as I find it can cut my hands to ribbons when I pull on it too hard!
Hope this helps,
Hugs,

Shanna,
If he was my first big bear I think I'd be ECSTATIC!
Well done, he's gorgeous & he has a wow factor all of his own!
Hugs,

Hi Marie,
I don't think I do my noses the conventional way as I mostly complete them on my "sponge" first to get the basic shape before putting them on the bear as I find it easier. As far as the small straggly bits are concerned, I find the best way is just to keep very lightly stabbing at them so that they gradually get tucked in but don't actually change the shape of the overall nose?
I hope this helps & best of luck!

Very,very pretty!

Oh Susan.... Poor, poor you....
I echo Joanne, I don't know if I'd want to stay but the dogs.....? What a truly terrible situation to be in. I wish there was someway I could help you? If there is anything, in any way, I can do to help, please let me know?
In the meantime, think positive & everything happens for a reason.....
HUGE hugs to you & much love,
Julia xx
OMG! He's HUGE & hairy??!! So not pink & girly......
Gorgeous sweetheart

Right there with you on the "Girly Bears"!!
Nothing like a bit of pink eh?!! She's GORGEOUS!

I'm great thanks flower! Much better than I thought I would be actually? Was in hospital for a bit longer than expected but on the mend now.... apart from looking a little bit like Frankenstien's sister or a victim of knife crime, take your pick?!! How are you feeling after yours? Better I hope?
Not long til November.... Booked the hotel so probably better get sewing some bears really?! Now supplying 2 local shops with bears, training at college in Beauty Therapy & still working for the bank - think that qualifies as a bit hectic & now know how you feel the majority of the time?!
I LOVE your entry above, envious it's not mine!!
Julia x
Many Congratulations, Katherine!
Thoroughly deserved.... totally gorgeous work!
Wish I could've been there to see it for real? Sounds like everyone had a great time?
Look forward to catching up soon,
Hugs,
