Thank you, girls!
I guess it must have been night time in Double Oak when you visited, Hayley. I don't see any lights and I'm pretty sure we have electricity here!!

Oh boy . . . I LOVE that description of creative people!! If that's the case, then I'm a creative genius!!
I have a big workroom, but every square inch is cluttered. Here's to messy - uh - creative people . . . Yee Haw!!!
You gals are GREAT moms!!
I also use the cotter pin link to make a wobble joint. Works like a charm!
Skipper has a wobble jointed head.
Waaaaay cooool, Hayley!!
Hiya, Daphne. I sit in front of three windows facing north in a big area that was meant to be a rec room. The windows where I sit form a sort of big bay window and the area is like a small alcove which has a strip of low ceiling. On that narrow overhang, I've put up a long florescent light. Right next to my sewing machine I have an Ott floor lamp (wonderful!!). Combined with the two ceiling light fixtures in the room, it provides nice lighting. You might want to hang on to your desk lamps for further lighting, but I truly don't know how I got along without my Ott light. I got it only about 2 years ago and I LOVE it.
What a cutie, Dilu . . . a special order for Marie?? LUCKY MARIE!!
Welcome to the board, Meg . . . love the bear climbing the tree on your website! Hope you have fun here and I don't know of any teddy clubs in N. Carolina. My younger daughter, however, did graduate from Univ. of N. C. and then got 2 master's degrees from Duke. Not that that has anything to do with your question!!

Ditto, Winney . . . we want to see fahion bears!!
GREAT little golly, Dilu . . . you are the clever girl!!
Wow, that WAS fun, Shelli. Thanks for the link. My hair is more a blondish gray
but they didn't have a gray in the choices. Also, I'm not this slim!!!
But I do wear jeans, t-shirt, and athletic shoes A LOT!!
Please go ahead and be silly . . . you have some really fine company!! Silly is GOOD!!!
You girls are a riot!!!

I'm hooting here!! Love it, Eileen . . . well, NOT the fact that you have to replace all your pipes, but the way you described it!! Have fun in your temporary spot!
My goodness - we surely can get off topic, but it surely is fun!!
I had to go back to the first page to see what it was that Winney suggested about raffia!!
Me too, me too . . . I want to go to Japan!!
Oh please come, Eileen . . . everybody is welcome! Right, Jane?? You just didn't have room in your dreamy head to think of everyone.
Tooooooo cool, Hayley!!
Wow, had I know you were visiting me I would have gone out in the yard and given you a big Texas howdy-do!! Y'all come back now, ya heah??!!
Your mama has VERY good taste in bears!! My sister is doing well for right now and thanks for your concern. I hope your mom continues to feel good!!

Yep, Eileen, the roaches in Texas are big dudes!! Unfortunately, my cats like to bring them in from outside to play with . . . the roach ALWAYS loses the game!

HEE HEE!!

Hey, Marion, glad you're back. I had been thinking it'd been awhile since I'd seen a post from you! We missed you!!
Oh yeah. The only time I tried a large edition (25 - and that's very large for me) I quit at bear # 10. Although it was for a worthy cause, I just couldn't keep on making that same bear again and again. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, and all I could think of to do to help was make a limited edition bear and give the proceeds of the sale to The Susan Komen Foundation. And I did, but even that 10th bear was almost "unbearable" to make. So now, it's only one-of-a-kinds!!
My goodness! You people on the West Coast need to move inland!!
