I work on my bears every day Chloe and sometimes I drive myself mad with all these ideas in my head and I have to try and switch myself off or I feel like my head will explode Sometimes I can think about all six or seven bears I am working on and other times I can only just think of the one to stop myself going mad.Housework definately gets in the way but has to be done but I still find myself thinking about bears and when you find yourself putting milk in the cupboard or throwing something in the bin what shouldn't be in there you realise you need to be focusing on the job you are supposed to be doing
I don't think you are alone in this-how many people do their job 7 days a week and still complain theres not enough hours in the day to work

She is a little sweetie Sarah Jane

Look what the postman brought in the post today.Yes it is Plug and he seems to have lost his forlorn look and instead has rather a smug look about him.Hubby is our local postman but the only problem with that is he got to see him first
I have included another photo of Plug with his girlfriend Pansy so I am sure he will live happily ever after.

It is lovely to see the pictures Christine-you are all fantastic artists so I am hardly surprised that nearly everything sold.
How big is your brown bear-he looks huge or is it just deceiving because the rest are tiny!!!

I have noticed that many of you wanted to be a vet and that was what I would have liked to do but I knew I couldn't cope with having to put animals down even though it is for the best sometimes and I think that was the only reason I didn't pursue it.My other options were a pe teacher-that was the only lesson I liked at school .My last was in the police force but for various reasons I couldn't do it.
We had an interesting test in high school that was supposed to guide us in our choice of career and my score was nil for office type work and 100% for outdoor work and that would have been so true for me.

I think when selling on e bay it helps if customers have seen your bears at shows etc as they know what to expect but I am not that keen on e bay at the moment as I see that a lot of nice bears that look well made never get the prices they deserve where as others the bidders go mad on and they seem to pay a lot of money-I know they are lovely bears but the prices go so high.On e bay people want to buy the really cheap bears or high price bears but it is hard to sell bears in the normal price range.
I know what you mean where if bears don't sell you can make your bears look bad as people will notice they don't sell and automatically could pass them by thinking if no one wants them they must be no good.I would rather take mine to my local shop nowadays and get a reasonable price for them than forever feel that you are throwing yourself to the lions by going on e bay.I still get my advertising by the shop advertising me when they sell my bears. There are all the photos you have to take and the time spent listing etc where as if I go to my local shop that is all I have to do and I can spend more time making bears than time spent trying to sell them. Some artists don't like to use shops but you just have to find a way which suits you.I wouldn't rule out e bay but the inconsistencies of sales on there makes me feel I just can't be bothered with all the hassle of listing bears on there. You can come away so disappointed when your bears don't sell on e bay and it doesn't do your morale any good.

They are sooo cute Sonya-I expect they are now getting into everything

I am sure she will do well for you Marion-she is gorgeous
When I first saw your bears I couldn't believe that they were crocheted.

Your first bear has come out great Sue.I was really pleased when I finished my first bear even though I did sew the gusset on back to front. I am pleased to say that I have improved a lot since then
Laurie
Peewee is a great start to your bears for Hugglets-I can't wait to see them in the fur

This one made me laugh Tami-he really looks like he is driving

I know that there is the new policy on e bay that bids over £100 have the bidders id's hidden but I also noticed tonight that if sellers choose to have a reserve they are also hiding the bidders id so even if they have low starting bids you still cannot see their id's.E bay has said that if the reserve is set at a certain price they do this although I am not sure what the reserve has to be.It justs seems as if there is more ways that e bay won't let you see the bidders any more.Has anyone else noticed this?
