Ooohh, he's so cute! And I love the setting you've photographed him in!
Hugs, Ariane
Heyho,
I'm glad you like him!
Ali, I bought some cotterpin joints and was quite happy with them, although one arm is slightly harder jointed than the other one loool

Finally I found the time to upload some pictures of Tuffi, the Bear I created after the instructions given by Nancy Tillberg from Ebearz University!
I'm so proud of him, he is my second "big bear", 15 inches tall - and I'm very pleased with how he came out.
As I always wanted to try out Trapunto Toes but couldn't on my smaller bears, I decided to do it for Tuffi. I tried them on both his paws and foot pads - and they turned out gorgeous, well worth the hours of work I put into them. Also, he's able to stand I wouldn't have thought this, having given that his foot pads aren't flat.... I put some weight into his tummy so this was a help, too.
I also put some white felt under his eyes to give them this sort of special feature.
As for his name.. this was my mom's idea. She named him like that when she first held him in her arms, legs/arms and head jointed to the body, but body not yet stuffed (her was sort of floppy then ), and I think it suits him very well.
Love his nose, too - it isn't quite perfect, but nearly - certainly the best nose I've done so far!
What else to say..? He's also the first bear I made out of mohair, I had so much fear to cut into this precious material.... Otherwise I think I'll stay with smaller bears in the future - but will surely make some bigger ones once in a while
Hope you like him, Ariane
EDIT: Forgot to mention.. He started out as a girl, but in the middle of making his face and inserting his eyes, he told me he'd rather be a boy - how could I deny him this wish? And he's soooooooooo proud of his pink fur!
Daphne wrote:Question: If she was caught on tape why didn't the person taping her go rescue the cat? I thought perhaps it was a security camera but why would it be aimed just at the trash bin and this woman? Seems odd to me.
Miss Bale needs some psychiactric evaluation. IMO. :/
They called/looked for their cat, eventually finding him, after hearing his crys and finding him in the bin. They then looked at the film, to see how he got in there and were shocked to find he'd been in the bin for 15 hrs and stunned to see how it had happened. The poor cat was covered in it's own poop.
They also said it was on the security camera in front of the cat owner's house^^
Oh. My. Gosh! I just saw it in the German TV.. Holy crap!! How can somebody be able to do something like this to such a sweet lil cat?!
oh my gosh.. what takes people to do something THAT cruel??
I can't understand it
Awww, how cute!
I love the last one, he looks so wee in your hand and his smile is just adorable!

Well... actually I haven't even started with my bear, I thought about it this month, but with the Basic Bear Boot Camp, I had other things to do. Plus, I'm working on my mother's birthday present so I won't be able to even start before next month.... Hopefully, I'll have some ideas soon!
Hugs, Ariane
 Well done, I'm especially fond on the green spots in his fur

Yes, this was what I wanted to know, what exactly essentials is. Well, thanks for your help to both of you - I now think that it isn't something I'll need, I have all the other programs I need on my computer already and will set up my blog at blogger.com as Daphne suggested.
Thanks for the explanation, Ariane
Ali,
yeah, you're right, I thought it was quite traditional... but wasn't sure
Cindy, thanks for the link, this book looks as if it could help me!
Well, I showed my friend some photos of traditional Steiff Bears and she said, that's quite what she wants - but with shorter arms I'll now have to see what else she has in mind.
Thank you all, Ariane
Hm..Actually I HAVE a traditional steiff bear... I didn't think of that  Should take a good look at him, yeah
Hugs, Ariane
Hello there,
I have a good friend that wants me to make a Bear for her, but she has rather specific desires s to how he should look (his attitude you might say). Well, she told me she wants a bear that looks noble but is quite simple on the other hand without fancy details. His..position and mimic shall show his nobleness. I then mentioned that he could kind of look down on somebody with his chin pointing upwards (does this make sense?), but she doesn't like the part with the chin pointing upwards.
She then talked about a "typical bear attitude" that bears in the past had, sitting upright, head straight forward, pretty rigid arms/legs.
I think what she is referring to is a "traditional bear", isn't she?
And now I wanted to know which are the characteristics of such an traditional bear; my patterns aren't traditional so I don't have a clue how such a bear should look like. Any hints or jsut photos of bears looking kind of like my description would be a great help!
Thank you, Ariane
Very sweet Bear, I'm always fascinated how different the bears from the same pattern turned out. I love the contrasting bow, works very well with the fur
I finished mine, too - just waiting to get my camera working again to take some photos of my lovely "Tuffy"
Hugs, Ariane
Awwww, what cute little bundle of joy!
Yesss, another great webshop I'll surely use in the future, their alpaca looks great - and their other stuff, too!
Thank you so much!
Hugs, Ariane
Edinburgh.. I was trying to remember their name this afternoon, but couldn't find it  Thanks!
Emma, thank you for mentioning this shop, I didn't know it before - and there are very nice colors! Now it will be hard to decide which one to buy as I can't afford much at the moment...
Hugs, Ariane
Yes, I thought so
Just wondering.. is he for sale?
Oh, i forgot to ask a question.
Is the lower part of his face needle felted?
Hugs, Ariane
