Hi,
Yes. it really like to know also how to win awards other than the yearly Magazine Contest`s. ( I miss the deadlines constantly)
In Germany I knew where and how to enter, but since I am over here in the USA, I dont know which ones to enter.
Would be nice to receive another award again.

Thanks Shelli,
Since you are so nice and have experience with Awards, would you tell me how to go about it?
I know the Bear magazines have them once a Year but it is already over and done with for this Year.
Here in South Carolina are no Shows at all and I have my Store and cannot drive away for a few days.
Rita
You are right Laura,
"Someone" is ALWAYS watching over my Auctions.
They just dont seem to have anything else to do then sit on their Computer and watch Peoples listings.
Oh, I wish I had soo much time, but I would know something better to do than to put my Nose in someone elses Business all Day.

Hi Shelli,
I bought the Teddy Bear Review today and cannot find any artikel on the polymer Eye making.
Please tell me which Issue it is.
The one I bought today is the June Issue, is this an old one??
South Carolina is usually ALWAYS behind with their deliverys.
Rita
this happened to me a few times, now I am lucky to sell ANY Bears at all.
Even so, I list them private, the hate mails dont stop.
This all startet when I sold the Berenguer Dolls at a lower starting bid then the other sellers, it was soo bad, that I quit selling them.
I guess now, I am on the "Blacklist", every time I list something, and there is only a slight error, ( unintentionally ) then someone turns me into E-Bay, and they take off my Listing.

Hi,
This is my Pet, his Name is Einstein, and he is as smart too.
I even "Potty trained" him, when he wants to come over to sit with me, he either does his "business" first, or I hold him over the Trash Can and he does his "business".
He is a funny one and also does a lot of Tricks, like puts his Toys in a Basket, finishes a Childs wooden puzzle, plays a little piano, kisses his own special Bear, plays Basket ball, ( one specially made for Birds ) and he talks my Ears full.

Laure,
I sell in my Store Native American Crafts & Gifts, Turquoise Jewelry, and also German Collectibles http://www.myblackforestbears.com/
Thanks Marie and Sue Ann,
I check the post about Noses right away.
I wish I could just stay on this Forum a little longer, I always am so busy with my Store, and in the Evening I "steal some time" to make Bears

Hi everybody,
I like to try to make a Nose out of Polymer Clay.
How do you fasten a polymer clay Nose onto the Bears Face?
And, does the polymer clay has to be baked or can it be airdryed?
One more ( dumb ) Question, what is an "Avator" everybody keeps talking about?
http://www.myblackforestbears.com/
Thank you all,
you guys really make me feel like I am good in Bear making, but to me, everybody elses Bears are waaaay better than mine.
Even so, I am hooked and still trying to make the "perfect Bear"
Thanks Laure,
I always adored your Bears, especially the Golly ones.
I am not a Bear Collector, but yours I would love to have, if I could afford one.
Marie,
how do you make your Bear Picture appear on the left side when you post a message?
Hello,
Like to put my 5 cents in it, I bought one of the Japan Pattern Books, but, even as experienced Bear Maker I had some problems with the Pattern pieces since I cant read any Japanese.
So I designed my own Version
Here it is:
Hi Marie,
Thanks,
yes, I designed a seperate Neckpiece for him.so he can look up or down.
On this picture, you cant really see the sculpted mouth, I am not the best Photograper.
I bought a light tent and all the works with it, but I still cant get the "hang of it"
My newest Creation with sculptet Mouth. Since Business slowed down a bit, I have more time for my Bears, you think he turned out alright?
You are All soo nice and I do appreciate your Feedback about my Bears. I guess, after so many Years in Bearmaking, there comes a time when you are in a
"slump"
But, no matter how many Bears I make, and made, I always think, the Bears from other Artist`s look soo much better than mine.
My Confidence dropped 360 when I startet selling them on E=Bay and did not even get bids high enough to cover a fraction of the Material!!
Selling them privat, or in my Store, I get whatever I think is a fair price.
Well, I thank you all again for so much nice reply`s it did helped me.

Hello,
I love this board, it is fun to read and gives a lot of advice on just about every Bear "Problem".
I do have a "Problem" with my Bears also, it seems like they are missing the certain "special xtra", they all look in my opinion so plain, like something is missing
I can also not stick to one pattern, I am constantly making new ones, always trying to find "My Style".
I envy all you Bear Artist which found "Their Style" of making Bears.
I hope I am making sense to you all.
