i was out shopping all day today in lakeside and when i got home what a lovely surprise waited for me,a letter telling me my bears have reached the finals of the british bear artist awards and a lovely yellow rosette,i'm absolutely thrilled but very nervous too as i really didnt expect to get anywhere and only entered because my hubby kept on,i entered the catorgory for newbies as i'd only been making bears for about 5 months when i entered ,now i'm relly nervous as i've learnt a lot more between then and now,it's an honour though,guess i'll just have to put up with the nerves,well done to everyone else who got nominated :clap:  :clap:  ,looking at your entries just makes me feel more nervy !

this is posy,i've used the same head shape for my last 3 bears and i've been working my way through all the different eye/eyelid techniques,i quite like this way,shes made of a gorgeous mohair and silk mix,i'll be putting her on bearpile later,so fingers crossed

hi hannah,after trying absolutely everything i'm now happiest using prismacolour pencils,and i have some letraset pro markers that are pretty good,you can build colour gradually with both

so sorry that happened to you joanne,that sounds really out of order, i dont have a mailing list yet,i have no idea how to go about it and rely on my hubby and son to do a lot of the pc stuff for me,any advice on the best way to do it would be gratefully received as i'm also still learning

this is funky, my hubby set me a challenge to create a bear with more character,so i started from scratch, he has needle felted eyelids,a clay nose,and downturned paws you can hold hands with,he was great fun to make and hubby absolutely loves him,i'm still not sure , i think hes a little funky!

i love all your bears ,but this one is super special,     bet he wont be with you for long
