I'D LOVE TO BE EIGHT AGAIN

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday."I'd love to be
eight again" she replied

On the morning of her birthday he arose early, made her a nice big bowl
of Coco Pops and then took her off to the local theme park. What a Day!

He put her on every ride in the park: The Death Slide, The Wall of Fear,
The Screaming Monster Roller Coaster

Five hours later she staggered out of the theme Park. Her head was
reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

Right away they journeyed to a McDonalds where her loving husband
ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate
milk shake.

Then it was off to the movies: the latest Star Wars epic, a hot dog,
popcorn, all the Coke she could drink, her favourite lolly and M& M's.

What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed onto the bed
exhausted. He leaned over his precious wife with a big smile and
lovingly asked "Well Dear, what was it like being eight again?"

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. "I meant my
dress size, you idiot!"

The moral of this story: Even when a man is Listening, he's still going
to get it wrong.

Man and his wife are awakened at 3 o'clock in the morning by a loud pounding on the door...

The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.

"Not a chance," says the husband, "It is three o'clock in the morning."  He slams the door and returns to bed.

"Who was that?" asked his wife! "Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he answers. "Did you help him?" she asks. "Are you kidding? NO, I did not. It is three o'clock in the morning and its pouring rain outside!!"

His wife said, "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!"

The man does as he is told (of course!), gets dressed and goes out into the pouring rain. He calls out into the dark, "Hello! Are you still there?" "Yes," comes back the answer. "Do you still need a push?" calls out the husband. "Yes! Please!" comes the reply from the darkness.

"Where are you?" asks the husband. "Over here on the swing!!" replies the drunk

Oh My - I just can't stop laughing at your stories!!!

When my friends little boy was 2, my friend was pregnant again. So I asked Daniel whether he would like a Brother or a Sister.

He said that he would like a sister.

I said " OOoo what shall we call her ?"

He responded with much thought and said,

"DAVE"

I couldn't help but laugh!!!

And I suppose thats not meant to be offensive, Shirley???

beary_clairey

Well Shirley, as is my right - I would have to disagree with you. In the original post by Daphne she was just apologising for inadvertently offending anyone on a previous discussion.

Everyone else was posting back with the majority of us telling her that she was an inspiration to us and a well respected advisor to all us artist new and old.

So if an apology can be seen as offensive then I want to know what the world is coming to.

I must admit Shirley - you do seem to play devil's advocate on this forum alot which I respect but you too must be aware of others feelings.

I found some of your posts rather Harsh and offensive.

My all time favourite book as a child that I read over and over again was:

The Lion, The witch and The wardrobe.

I also loved all the classic fairy stories especially Snow White & Rose Red where they make friends with the bear!!

Teenage Years:

Sweet Valley High
Sweet Dreams
All the Mills and Boon range.

I remember all my friends and I sitting in the playground reading the problems page in Just 17 magazine!!!

Those were the days!!!

Well I'm am in the middle of Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Terry Pratchett is a hilarious, fantasy writer who writes the discworld novels.

This book is about Armageddon coming, when Hell gets one of its demons to swap the newborn son of the American Ambassador with the son of Satan. Unfortunately he gets swapped with an Accountants newborn and ends up living Tadfield with a hell dog that is now a cuddly mongrel that likes it's tummy tickled!!

When I have finished that I have bought " The Devil wears Prada!"

I believe everyones opinions should be respected.

I think we should also be able to talk about more un-fluffy topics too!!

BUT i do think we are all in real danger when we get personal to other TT'ers rather than just putting our thoughts out there.

I think what we are all trying to say whether we eat meat or are veggies is this;

Animals, whether they are pets or reared for the food chain, should lead good lives and then have the right to a Humane death.

Thats all!!!
