I don't know about your own children but my poor mum used to have a lot to contend with when me and my sister were little as years ago we were bought a new pair of sandals each(and money was lacking in those days).We hid behind the settee and cut the back straps off the sandals as didn't want those we wanted a pair of flip flops instead.

I love them all Gemma and I can't decide which one I like the best.I think it has to be Pablo as I love his colours and I love his feet.

Blossom looks well wrapped up in her rug and it looks like she needs it with that weather.My Shetland is stabled 24 hours a day with laminitis at the moment and our weather isn't that cold and I have a job with her sweating all the time as it has been so mild this winter.If I would have known at the start of winter the warm weather was going to keep like this for so long I could have had her clipped to keep her cool. :doh:

We had just a covering for one day and it was gone by the next day.I remember when I was at school having snow so deep that you could hardly walk in it.With global warming it is years since we had a decent amount.

I have my first ever bear from a kit I bought and my first two bears I ever designed.I also kept one last year and only this week I have kept the two pictured as I couldn't really be parted from them.I wish that I didn't feel so guilty about it though It could be a slippery slope though as I already like a bear I am now doing but if I start to keep too many I will run out of room and money as I am not going to make any if I don't sell them There are just some bears that you make that just seem to tug at your heart and are harder to part with.
  Like you Clare I do like everyone elses better than mine -pity my budget doesn't allow it.

Your cat looks in lovely condition.We lost our pedigree cat a few weeks ago and he was an indoor cat.He turned up after three days and it was such a worry trying to find him-we don't know where he had been.His brother is glad he is back as they love to chase each other.You must have been so relieved when he turned up after all that time and I am glad he is ok.

I am hoping to go but as per usual it will be a last minute decision.I missed quite a few people last time and it would be nice to try and catch up this time.I went by coach last time and the time just went too quickly!

I haven't posted any photos for a while as hubby is still trying to get on with his new camera.
I have put these two in this column as I am not sure whether I can part with them(which is unusual for me ).
Herbert is a rich red cinnamon and is 17 inches and traditional.Dino is 14 inches.I enjoy doing such different types of bears as you can do different things with each.I hope that you like them.

Things like this are appalling and disgusting as all animals should be treated with the respect that they deserve and the human race is the worst for the fact that they should know better.

I don't blame you Jenny for buying local as you will be able to take the item back if you have any problems.Somethings are cheaper on line but anything electrical is best bought locally as there always a possibility it will go wrong.I would be very wary about anyone with zero feedback as these are the ones you can't trust in a lot of cases as decent feedback is what can assure you they are genuine sellers and care for their customers especially if they have sold many items before.

I only seem to get around to reading bear mags and books although I got a few books on knitting from the library to read.Mind you they have sat there a week and I haven't had the time to look at any of them yet.
Like you Gemma I spend a lot of evening time making bears and have noticed you on tt late at night the same as me.I know it is time to stop sewing when I nod off and get woken up because I have stabbed myself with the needle  :crackup: If I read late at night I just fall asleep anyway!

I used to live about 10 yards from the library when I was a child and was always going in there.My favourite books were always Enid Blyton but I read many others.I remember Ramona Quimby Heather-I liked those books too.I was only about 10 and I used to help out in the library stamping books etc.I still like to read books today but mainly non fiction as I always like to learn new things.
