I like hard stuffed, heavy bears too, I really don't know why, guess I started making them heavier when I wanted them to stand, and I always stuffed hard because I thought they would stay nicer over time. I recently bought soft soft pellets though, and have been toying with making squishy, floppy bear - so I guess I'm not really much help! lol

That looks like a good destresser. I have a bear head that looks very similar to that!

Tammy, I grew up about 20 minutes from where Kingdom Bound takes place, in fact I worked at that amusement park a couple of years ( I was one of those people that walked around in animal costumes, posing for pics with little kids). I live about an hour and half from there now. Kingdom Bound is really great, a very nice family event. It is very popular around here and the surrounding area. If you go to their site I think you can sign up for the newsletter. I think thats how I got on the mailing list. I usually get email updates and a newsletter every year. I think you and your family would really enjoy it.

I think that pattern is from a japanese book, I ordered the book, I have'nt received it yet but I remember there being a pom pattern. I have seen patterns for sale on ebay that state they are a photocopy, not the original, and passed on them. I think it is wrong to not include that info in the listing. If I paid $28.00 for the book with many original patterns and you paid $10.00 for a photocopy, someone is making alot of money off of photocopies!!

CAUTION: needlefelting is very addictive, the good news is, the wool is alot cheaper that mohair!! I started with a little kit from Edinbourgh too. It has everything you need to try it and the instructions in the kit covered everything in the NF book I ordered after the kit. You're really gonna LOVE it!!!!

I've been thinking I need a web site too, for the same reasons as you. I have my domain name registered and have been sitting on it for a year now. Between my pathetic computer skills and The $$$ to have one professionally done, I'm still mulling it over. Some people sell alot and others nothing thru their website. I've heard both. I think I'm really going to try and at least do a simple one this year. Good luck with whatever you decide.
