He loved the bear.  He has a whole room full of Chicago Bear things and he send pictures of the bear with his shirt on (I did make the bear a football jersey) in the middle of all the other things.

Thanks

EvaJ

What a sweetie.  I bet your Dad loves him.  I love to watch the series on TV about these little guys.

EvaJ

Thanks, Joanne and Becky.

Cali-12-30-09-023.jpgCali-12-30-09-017.jpgI haven't posted a new design in a long time.  Been too busy with the holiday shows and orders.  I haven't even been able to take the time to post a note to all the wonderful bears that have been on here.  I did look at them all and everyone does such wonderful work.

Here is my newest design.  Cali is 20 inches tall, make of faux fur, child safe, 5 way jointed and a new thing for me, bendable arms and legs.  She wears a Victorian color and a pin with a purple ribbon and flower and a little silver angel.  She is currently available on my website.

Love your panda picture.  You are such a pretty lady, hope you will be able to feel better soon.

EvaJ

What a cutie.  I see why your Grandmother loves him.  I have a Step-Mother in her 90's and she loves all the bears I send her.  She never had a bear until I started to send them to her about 10 years ago and she is always looking for another one.

Merry Christmas to you too Karen.  Love your cats. bear_wub

Jane, you do so much all year with the birthday cards, show pictures and such and I wish to thank you for all that.  I will miss the party pictures but understand not being able to do them this year.  You take care of yourself and have a happy Christmas.

EvaJ

What a hunk!  Thanks Jane.  Puts a smile on my face. bear_happy

Merry Christmas to you and your mother, John Paul.  Thanks for the cards.

EvaJ

Thanks Joanne.  I just used Rit dye and crossed my fingers.  The fur was a very soft beige fur and after dyeing it the fur wasn't quite as soft.  I think it was because of the hot water it took to get the colors right.  I also dyed fabric for a jersey and then make fabric letters and numbers in his favorite player.  Then also 11 banners of some of his other players that he wanted.  The most time was taken up in cutting out all the lettering, which were just 1 inch.

What a lovely little girl.  Your Mom is going to adore her.

I finally got the cute little guy I got from Tami photographed.  Camera didn't want to cooperate today.

Washing might work.  I know I dyed and washed some faux fur and it came out fine.  The dye made it a little stiffer than the original fur but it worked for what I wanted.  On another note, I do have brittle nails when I am sewing, no matter what fur or fabric I am using.  I just had marked it up to all the sewing both machine and hand but some may be to all the chemicals in the fur or fabric.  Interesting!

I haven't heard from my person either and it only went to Michigan.  But I got mine from Tami today and it is the cutest little guy with his little pointed ears.  I will try to get it photographed tomorrow.  I put it right in front on my tree and I just love it.

I got two more cards today one from Heather (Flying Fur Studios)  and one from Jared Monroe.   The CD which I am listening to is wonderful and the little calendar is so cute.

Chicago-Bear-12-14-09-002.jpgHere is a bear I made for a fan of the Chicago Bears.  He wanted a bear in orange and navy.  It is made of faux fur which I had to dye because I couldn't find these colors.  He is 18 inches tall which is bigger than I usually make.  I even dyed his paw and feet suede in the orange color.  No name yet because that is up to the gentleman who ordered it.  It is packed and will be shipped to New York tomorrow.  He didn't want to see it until he opened the package so I hope that he likes what I did.

EvaJ

I am loving all the beautiful cards.  Thank you all.

I am so sorry you are having such a reaction to the faux fur.  Mohair is a wool so may have the same problem.  I have mainly worked with faux fur and have no problems.  After almost 30 years of working with it, I have learned the ins and outs of sewing and stuffing to get the efffect that I want.  There are so many different grades of faux fur and I have probably used every one of them.  I don't have any suggestions on what to do to stop the reaction to the poly.  The only thing is to use gloves and you said that doesn't work.  You could make fabric bears but then they wouldn't be fuzzy.

EvaJ

I wish to thank all of you who have sent cards.  I have them all displayed on a wall in my living room.  I am loving going to the mail box every day and seeing all the wonderful cards.  My Christmas spirit is not very good this year and all these cards sure to help me.

tHANK YOU!!  tHANK YOU!!!  bear_wub

I sent mine out yesterday, should be arriving in the next couple of days.

Wish I could help you but I don't know anyone who has a website.  I have a local guy make some furniture for me.  He is an out of work carpenter and his pieces are cheap but not cheaply make.  I just got the nicest chair from him for only $12.  It is strong enough that a child could sit on it and not break it.   He has been making adult furniture (picnic tables, wishing wells, porch benches) but I told him he needs to work on more doll/bear furniture.  Maybe some one else has some info for you.
