Sue ann, a CHOOK, is a rooster or a hen. It is not gender specific. Down the pubs they have chook raffles where the winner gets a frozen fowl in a hamper. It's endemic on the aussie physchy(spell?)

Life is such fun ova 'ere.

bear_laugh Congratulations on your 'commission', Sue Ann!

I like to drool over The Toy Shoppe from time to time.

I love the idea of a big bear with a rooster on a string! Absolutely wonderful.

How on earth do you make feathers? Is the fur hand-painted? They're incredible.

I can't believe I'm going all gooey over a chicken, but . . .

Thanks much, Eileen!  The chicken is made from 6 different textures, lengths, colors of mohair.  I did a little hand- painting on a couple of pieces of the mohair, but mostly it "came" as you see it.  Fun way to use up your scraps!
