'Aleona le Pierrot' is one of several bears I will be taking to the Crossroads Teddy Bear, Doll and Antique Toy Show and Sale in San Diego. Sunday, August 2, 2009
10:00am - 4:30pm. Sheraton Mission Valley, 1433 Camino Del Rio South, San Diego, CA
'Aleona' is a 6.5" (8.5" with her cap on). She is made out of white and gray sparse mohair, a "haute shabby" bear. Sculpted clay nose (no molds, free hand), leather eye lids, needle felted eye whites, glass eyes, hand sewn, center seam head design, hand pigment shaded, stuffed with poly and copper shot for a cozy weight in the hand. Her arms and legs are thread jointed and her head is wobble jointed for lots of movement. She wears a french text, hand painted, altered art collar and matching cap for a bit of la de da' flair. Her eyes are accented in french mime style makeup and applied eyelashes. Her paw pads have been treated for a wet/worn/shabby texture for a "well loved" appeal.
'Aleona le Pierrot' is the second of a series of French inspired character bears. She was named after my beautiful friend who lives in Paris who inspired this little sweetheart.
Thanks for looking at 'Aleona le Pierrot'.

I absolutely love your new bears, the hats and ruffs are the most original I have seen, and the bears well they are in a league of their own, I had a look at a few, I think it was etsy a few months back, I am very keen to adopt one at some time, absolutely stunning and original and well everything I can say thats good, amazing
Hugs from a huge fan Lynne x
Thank you kindly for the feedback.
I have only one more week until the show with NO expectations for sales given the economic state here in California BUT I am determined to keep my chin up and keep on creating. Your kindess is wonderful.
