This is what happens today: Since she won showmanship she is also awarded a box of cheese to be auctioned later today at the fairgrounds. Lots of business owners will be present. Rachel will be at the front of the auction, with her calf, holding the cheese box. It is worth about $30 but they go for $800 to $2,000 every year. It's way the community rewards these kids who work and try so hard. Rachel gets to keep all the money! I had no idea! Now, all her hard work has paid off even more. She is just thrilled to peices.
What great day yesterday was.

She is as beautiful as her mom. And she looks like she carries herself the same as well. Congrats to Rachel. 
And three cheers to Dad, because he had a great opportunity for teaching, sharing and bonding and he took it! A lot of dads would not have. And I think I like him even more, now, because of this very important factor. Such a valuable time in her life that wil pay back huge dividends when she is an adult you will be so proud of.

Rachel and Mallory Congratulations!! on bringing home the blue. I know your dad and mom are very proud of you. I hope you celebrated big after that show. I've heard it takes months to prepare for a county fair. Oh, Caitlin my daughter said to tell Rachel she has beautiful long blond hair and congratulations!!

This has been a wonderful experience for our whole family and has really been extra great for Rachel's confidence.
