Hope you'll all find a moment today to check out the new TEDDY TALK FLYER.  Look for it as a sticky (meaning, permanently at the top of the list) topic in either the GENERAL DISCUSSION or SHOW AND TRAVEL forum.

You can download and print one -- or both! -- of two different versions of this flyer, which describes our great TEDDY TALK community in terms of features and functions that serve all teddy bears lovers alike.

Feel free to distribute the flyer (with permission) at schools, coffee shops, craft fairs, bear shows, hobby shops, fabric stores, or to friends and relatives, to "spread the word" about this great hobby of ours.

You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files.  They're in .pdf format  ---> Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF).

You can find and download Adobe shareware for free at:  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

One idea I had, that I might use at my next show (exhibiting or visiting), was this:   Print out the colored, photo-rich flyer on glossy, high-end photo paper, at full size (8.5 x 11 inches), one time... and place it within a standing acrylic frame for "eye catching" appeal.  Then -- on the table where that framed flyer will stand -- stack and place next to it the smaller, half-sized, text-only flyers, awaiting their ready distribution.

Thanks to the entire behind the scenes staff -- big cheese Kjeld, Quy, and especially Dale (we miss you, Dale!) -- for getting these up and running for use by all.

YES YOU CAN, although I, personally, don't know how to do this; how to link a file/document for download from a website.

Web brainiacs here... anybody wanna offer a quick tutorial on this?

Thanks very much Intercal and Shelli - what a brilliant way of getting all our Teddy Bears
out there in the spotlight!
I will go and print off some flyers and get them out there and spread the word.
Thanks again

Hugs
Carolyn

New info, regarding Kim's question about placing the flyers on your own site for visitors to download...

Intercal will be updating both TEDDY TALK flyers from time to time.

Given that both .pdf files will be changed and reposted with regularity, it's probably best to simply provide a link   to the flyers for visitors to your site -- in other words, link to the page on which they can be found, or the files themselves, here at TEDDY TALK -- rather than having folks download the flyers, in possibly outdated versions, from your site directly.

This way is easier, too!

You can always find the flyers here at:  http://www.teddy-talk.com/viewtopic.php?id=1257

Quy points out...

You can also link directly to the pdfs and images:

By doing this, you can keep your visitors on your site without sending them elsewhere.

Karen,
Where is your show next weekend?  I have friends in Australia and they have been saying that a lot of the shows there are shutting down.

This is not a bear specific show, it is an artists market, so my fingers crossed that I might get some local interest in my own bears, or in bear making in general .;)

Your right there Donna, we just had one of our local Melbourne bear shows for the last time ever end last weekend, so that was very sad news bear_sad
