Thank you very much!

I finished my purple panda, and another black and white one, both will be going to their new homes soon so I took a pic of them before they left for new adventure bear_original

Thank you so much Becky and Delinda.

The mohair doesn't have a specific texture name, but is just listed as 9mm mohair from my usual supplier here in the UK. I notice that various textures come and go and it is luck more than anything what happens to be in at the time.

Jenbee

Fantastic, you have a fabulous hug of bears, thank you for sharing them with us :)

I have been working on a pattern for a panda, it took me a few attempts to get it right, but this is my first panda! He will be going to his new home soon and I have decided to start another one with purple mohair, so I am excited to see how purple panda is going to come out!

Hiya, I have string jointed arms and legs a couple of times in the past but never heads, so I am not sure on how to do a head.

But for arms, I don't tie any knots in the thread but start on the underside of the first arm, put the needle through the arm at the top and leave a length of thread on the underside, then back through the arm and through the body to the other arm. Go through the other arm underside to right side and back through leaving enough thread to hold the arm in place, back through the body and then you should end up with two bits of thread next to each other, one in the first arm and one through the body, tie them together and pull as tight as you need to tighten both arms.
Hope this makes sense, it does seem to tighten both limbs this way.
