I've had my share of naughty dogs. I had a black lab named Lovesong that could eat an entire loaf of bread off the counter if you turned your back for 10 sec. All that was left was the plastic bag. I had a chocolate lab, Mocha, pull a whole cooked turkey off the counter. Last year I had opened a bag of feathers for a project - the next thing I knew my dachshund, Lexi, was rolling in them. I was pulling little feathers out of her fur and finding them all over for a couple of weeks.
The last animal clinic I worked at had a house cat named Woodie that had the run of the place. There was one vet he didn't like and if she put down her lab coat he would pee on it everytime.
I won a class at ebearz and after your post Dilu, I decided to take the web design class. I use frontpage for mine but I am trying to stretch myself and learn more to make it look more professional. I am now excited for the class to start.
As my husband alway says "That's why they paint cars different colors". What appeals to some may not appeal to others. I haven't entered many competitions but I did enter the URSA competition. I didn't make it to the second round but my entry sold to a collector half way around the world -because of the exposure.
I think Teddy Bear artists, as a community, cheer when one of us wins something.

I actually made this guy last year but have never posted him on TT. He is made with short mohair that has been dyed with lime Koolaid. He is 7" tall. His heavy brow is needle felted with merino wool. Hubby drilled holes in the leather collar and dug out the nuts & bolts for the collar. He also contributed the spring for his tail.
I recently added a bravenet free counter to my blog. Bravenet was recommended by Lisa of Twin Cubs. You get statistics, which I don't completely understand, but am trying to learn.
Thanks everyone. I had forgotten about glasseyes.com. I might try the idea of painting the iris so that they are a little more oval. The cats I am making are small so I can't do too much. I looked at Karen Lyon's cats and noticed she uses round irises. As long as it still looks like a cat, that's what matters.
I used frontpage and built my own. Your right it was exhausting but definately a learning experiance. I am still tweaking mine all the time AND still learning.
I have several cats in the works-just started a series. Intercal doesn't carry the cat type eyes and they are backordered at the other supplier. Any suggestions where else I might check? The cats are small so I am looking for 9 & 10 mm.
My Dachshund, Lexi, was sleeping all fours up near the computer. When I played the clip she jumped up and made low woofing sounds. I wish I could translate.
Wonderful photos! It was almost(but not quite) like being there. I loved seeing all the creations but it was also interesting to see how everyone displays their critters.
A light spritz of vanilla musk when I go out. My nephew got one of those Axe sprays for Christmas and I went home from Christmas dinner with a terrible headache. They are pushing them as very appealling to girls but I think most moms hate them.
Best scent for the house--anything chocolate baking!
On the subject of the big M it's actually pretty liberating once you make it to the other side.
I've had an etsy shop since May and haven't sold a thing. There are 15 people that "heart" my shop. Lisa, you are good with "tags" and "labels". I think that definately gets you more traffic. After visiting you at expo, Lisa, I am starting to think my prices are too low. I only had a short time to look around but based on others prices I think I might still be pricing by 1990's standards.
I think the difference might be US versus Canada and the UK. I still search the same way too.
My brother's family has a pair of box turtles that live in an enclosed garden. The male comes when called and will follow you around until fed.
Wow! He's beautiful right down to the eucalyptus!
Lisa is always posting the challenges she finds. Maybe we should all take part when possible. It's a good way to get your name out there and drum up interest. It also makes you push your creativity and maybe try new things. WAY TO GO LISA!
They obviously have great futures as models!
I have gone almost exclusively to needle felted noses. Right now I'm working on twins. I got one nose just right and now the trick is to repeat it.
As my husband says "That's why they paint cars different colors." I would much rather be hot than cold. I live along the coast in the middle of Florida and we only run the ac for a couple of hours in the afternoon, never at night. The pool in the backyard helps too.
In Jan & Feb when it goes below 60 I am freezing. It looks like I'm in the minority here.
I had just decided I wanted to do the same to the legs of a small critter I am designing. I popped in to see if anyone had any suggestions and Voila---my answer. Thanks.
Bobbie-I just might send you that SASE.

I voted. One of these days I'm going to have to drive down to see you.
I just love the things you make. I check your blog regularly. I like the way you dressed up their stands too.
