hi Ellen, It sure is a cute little bear in your avatar.
As for advice, I think if your confident in the quallity of your work, and have had feedback from others first, take the plunge with selling on an Aucton site.
If your abit hesitant, try entering some shows to get professional feedback on how to improve your work.
I actually had alot of bears that I had done previously as I tryed to refine my technique.
I still have them today, as a reminder of how far I have come.
If you go with Ebay, remember it can be quiet fickle, and can be disheartening if you don't get bids.
So I wouldn't take what happens on Ebay as a guide on how good your bears are.
If your not well up on scammers and their scams, I would sugest you try Bid4Bears.
Bid4 Bears is a much safer auction site and is run by Bear artists.
http://www.bid4bears.com
There is also Bearpile, but I don't know much about bearpile.
Hope that was a little help
I just don't know what to say, but I feel for you
Hope tomorrow looks brighter
Hi Ann Marie, that's my nieces name
It's finally turning green where I am, but sure could use some more rain.
Ellen we will let you vent about the weather, we will do the same soon
Oh what wonderful pics, I think my daughter is as far along as you are .
Excitement plus!!!!!!!
better keep us upto date, have you got someone lined up to post an anouncement for us?????
Awww how cute is that!!!!!
Wow, I have really enjoyed all these wildlife pics.
SHANE echidna's are not scarry at all, they are so sweet and shy.
Shelli, no matter what you think I LOVE rackoons
& I just adore those squirells
What great advice your getting Ray, I just wanted to stress the fact that for a newbe, mohair is alot easier to work.
There are also some great plush frabrics out there as well.
Once you get going, try abit of everything and see where it leads you
Enjoy and show us some pics
Oh, and you need very tough hands for real fur
Interesting question.
I list to end on a sunday night in the US, or Monday Morning OZ.
I do have my doubts about listing to end on a long weekend or holiday, but I keep forgetting when I go to list.
There are alot here that go away for long weekends, especially easter.
For me it's a good time to stay off the roads, it's hectic out there.
Oh I just adore squirells, I had never seen any untill I had a holiday in England.
I could have watched them all day
Mellisa, that was so interesting reading about your animals in NZ, I had no idea what you had besides the Kiwi of course
Kallie, I love those racoons, I haven't seen a real one only pics, and thats a great shot. :photo:
I sometimes have Koala's in the yard and Kangaroo's wander through.
But this little achidna is a resident. I shouldn't say little because he is big for an echidna.
It is really great seeing animals from our yards across the world.
This is what I found the other day in my garden near the house.
I thought he was so cute, he even lifted his head up for me to take a pic of him
Wendy, I am wondering if you are using a light tent?
I know I do, and have come to the conclusion that it might be that mine is way too big for my little bears.
Hi Lynette, I am no expert by any means.
But I thought that the reason your pics might not show is that you need to have them somewhere on the web.
For example my photo's are loaded on my website so they are directed from there.
You can't see them on a page or anything on my site, but they are there.
then in B4B i have something like -
<IMG src="http://www.realdealbears.com/b0be5.jpg" border=2>
I started off with a bought template, but now I have changed it so much it's unrecognisable from the original template.
There is no reason that you can't do it yourself if you know a bit about HTML
I just thought it would get me going alot faster
Wow, awesome!!!! Congratulations !!!!!!!!
And well deserved, they are sooooo cute
Awww cute, that had me hopping
Happy Easter Sarah
