Then that is where I will get them... I didnt even think about all those variations or problems!  Thanks for the imput! bear_laugh

where does everyone purchase their glass eyes?  I want to get some and want to start to hand paint clear ones but dont know where to start.... I would like good quality at good prices. ..

kbonsall

you can order it online at Borders or Amazon....

I don’t listen to music while I make my bears…. I watch movies! – or at least listen to them! And look after my mischievous pups!  Max likes to steal bear parts from me… and I can always tell when he is doing it too!!! He is always next to me or chewing on his nylabone… but sometimes he wonders off and is really quiet and that is when I know he is up to no good!  He stole my latest teddy’s head last week!  Luckily I caught him right away!!!:D

Definetely not a beaver! Adorable bear!

I am an east coast gal here!  I usually do my buying between noon and 5 - eastern time, of course!

kbonsall

Four things inspire me...

1) Items - ribbons, "accessories," fur collors, etc.
2) When the little critter's head is made, usually it lets me know what to do from there....
3) This board helps a lot - I have had so many "I never thought of that" moments since joining this board (like needle sculpting and toe sculpting... i am still working on toe sculpting... it doesnt seem to look right to me, so as of this point in time, my bears are "toeless"!)
and, last but not least 4) sometimes I have dreams about bears and ideas!

kbonsall

Usually 2 here... but I do have to admit...sometimes I have bears that arent completely finished that are above the 2- for example, i will finish two completly but I have three cut out, two heads completely done (but no bodies even cut out)... it depends, some days I really dont want to sew or sometimes I just want to cut them out... but I am always in the mood to make their heads and faces bear_original

usually when I come across a spider I hairspray it to death!  usually doesnt kill them, just slows them down because it makes them sticky... they just freak me out!!!

That is about the sweetest thing.. *teary eyed*  When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother carried around a picture of my grandfather and would, on occasion talk to it... They were together many years and married over 50 years.... She missed him dearly but now they are in heaven together... oh geez, now I am really crying.....

kbonsall

LOL you guys are funny.  I to have arachniphobia!  I can handle snakes, mice but not spiders!

kbonsall

i have noticed a lot of patterns appearing for sale on e-bay recently.... i can't wait to witness battles for my bears LOL bear_happy

kbonsall

OHH! IT IS GREAT TO FINALLY MEET YOU! I SAW RHAINE (SP?) ON EBAY AND WAS TOTALLY AMAZED BY HER LOOKS!  WHAT TALENT!  TOO BAD I COULD NEVER AFFORD HER!  MAYBE WHEN I GET RICH AND FAMOUS!

kbonsall

Shelli - you dont have to worry about me taking your business!  you are a pro whereas i am an amature! ;)LOL  At this point, i would be glad to pull in $30-$40 for my teeny bears (ususally at the most 3") and around $75-$80 for my real fur bears (which are usually a little bigger than the teeny - say about 8" at the most)  You gals that are part of this board really give me something to strive for, maybe I too, will be a name among the bear makers one day... *sigh* i can hope, can't i bear_happy

kbonsall

I signed up... I hope my bear sells!  - I guess I need to have more faith in myself!  Where is the "list" of all artists and where do the pictures of the bears go (I mean is there a "library" of all finished bears)?

kbonsall

I was wondering where you have been!  I was wondering where the "shrinky dink gal" was - that is how I remember you!  LOL  Website is looking good, I love the little teddy graffics!  I really need a website, but dont know where to start!:D anywho, glad to see you back!:D

kbonsall

I love bears and am thrilled to get good prices but after getting them for such a good price, I feel guilty - being a bear maker now, I realize how much time, money and love go into these little creatures! I am about to sell my 1st on ebay and have a lot of questions floating in my head!

I have noticed, and will do it myself, I wait until the last couple of hours to bid on something, hoping to get a better price

kbonsall

Abbie, Paige... I will have to think more....

kbonsall

I liked it better when she was a "he"  I thought Collin... but if you are going with female...

kbonsall

Good questions. I can't help you with this but would like some answers to these questions as well!  I haven't listed anything on ebay yet but was told by a coworker that her sons sell things on ebay and have told her not to start the bid at more than $0.99 - I know that I dont care to part with any of my bears for anything close to that! I wouldn't mind buying a few for that but won't part with my own for that! bear_grin

kbonsall

We make the teddies that come to life and attack people - like a chuckie doll! LMAO!  I can see a movie being made of it!  "Attack of the Green Eyed Teddies - made by the Green Eyed Teddie Makers" LOL bear_grin:lol:

kbonsall

My eyes are green too! AHHHH!!!!!  I thought it was a bit nuts but who am I to judge, people can believe whatever they want to... no matter how silly!  I LOVE the books and the movies!  Maybe some parts are a little scary for little ones but I dont think that it is "the work of the devil" LOL

kbonsall

Marie – I love your bears!  Do you sell them?  How much is the going rate?  How much for shipping (to the U.S.):D
