I think I have the weirdest dogs on the planet - when bonfire night comes after the first few bangs which they bark at, they tend to sit by my french windows and watch the fireworks.
I think they think its all very interesting!

I know alot of other dog owners who are not that lucky and have some very unhappy dogs at that time of year.

Also where I live the Hindus celebrate Divali which usually means fireworks for a month!!!

Well here is my new addition to my garden and bear family, this is my Derwent bear - Barney.

This one is a bear cub/bear in a box and is made from Resin, he's about a foot high maybe a little more. At Gemma's suggestion we visited their workshop while we were in the lake district and we picked up this little chap. My husband was quite taken with them aswell and will get me a larger wooden one at a later date.

The only thing that happened was that when we got him home David - my hubby dropped him and some of his bum broke away but you cannot notice it too much as you can see from the picture. My God did my hubby get a telling off - and Man did I have the hump !!!

Oh Jenny - Lizzie & Lottie are just the cutest dogs, even when they have been bad!

Here are my 2 watching todays thunderstorm out of the french windows!! They were unhappy as Mummy shut the gate to the muddy grass!!!

Funny thing is my sister-in- law is called Lizzie and her daughter my niece is Lottie !!!

Well I got married in the Autumn and so this is also a favourite time of year for me too !!!

In my wedding photo's you can see the leaves are turning golden which I think made them all the more special !!!

I'm with you Clare - I love this time of year too !!!

I must admit my thoughts have turned to Christmas too !!!

My Mum has just taught me to knit and I wondered whether anyone had a pattern for a knitted hat that I could knit for a bear ???

OMG - Lucy is just like my dog Honey. She is also a CKC spaniel and she sleeps in the most bizarre locations and positions.

I adore my Honey too and Lucy is just gorgeous !!!!

Glad to hear that you are better!!! The pictures of your family are lovely and you have a couple of real hunks for sons - Your a very lucky lady.

The job life sounds hard, but just keep it in perspective in that you do it for money and just don't kill yourself over it as they will not Thank You for it!!!!

Funny enough coke always peks me up when I feel ill, must be all the sugar and salts.

I'm also getting over a bad back and have taken so many tablets I now rattle - so you have all my sympathies!!!

Totally shocked when I read it on the net yesterday! My hubby is a massive fans of his too !!! What a totally unique person just taken away in his prime of life. His poor family.

I suppose the only comfort you can get , if any, is that at least he died doing something he loved and had great passion for even though it was just too soon in his life.

The more I see in life, the more I see no ryhme or reason for the tragedies that happen.
