No real rain yet over the fire area
Hope it rains soon.
I am about 30mins (Mum is about 15mins) away from the main fire.
Some good news though -
They have arrested 2 people that they suspect started one of the fires near my place.
A 26 year old woman and a 15 year old boy.
weird huh.
They are still looking for the culprits that started the big blaze about 30mins from me that has caused so much damage and claimed the life of a fire fighter.
Oh Tami, send us some this way PPppppllleeease.
AAaaaawww too cute, loved the kitties too

What a cutie
Hi Wendy, thankyou for your concern.
At the moment the Gippsland Region where I am, is braceing for another bad day on Thursday.
So far the fires have clamed 1 life, 32 homes and numerous sheding and fencing.
Also one man is seriously injured in a bulldozer rollover while clearing for the fires, and 5 New Zealand fire fighters have recieved burns.
The very sad part about it, is that the fire which clamed the life and the majority of houses was lit deliberatly by a fire bug. Even today at the top of my road a fire was lit, luckely it was put out quickly.
Here is an update from the DSU -
I have noticed that the reports on TV have died down, just wish the fire had as well as it is still threatening properties in the region.
At the moment all I think you can do is pray that we have a huge down pour to put the fire out. Because that is the only way this fire is going to go away.
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been posting. I read all the posts everyday, but I am just too distracted to post at the moment. But to read all your posts, the pic of the day (my favorite ) and see what everyone is up too is very uplifting.
So if you could all cross your fingers for Thursday and prey that the winds arn't too bad it would be appreciated.
I will have to remeber that one Louise,
but might be able to avoid the hot flushes by having salad for christmas dinner
Oh how cute
Just love those darling little paws
AAwwww, they are darlings.
What cute little noses, arnt they little dolls
Wow that looks wonderfull
Thankyou Wendy
AAAwwww how cute
i like the stop watch idea, if I could only turn off the TV in my studio, maybe I could get even more work done.
Oh TV is allowed Just have to watch you don't prick your fingers.
Sometimes I can do three in a week if you don't count designing.
That takes up a huge amount of time.
Sometimes I spend a couple of weeks on designing alone untill I produce a design I am happy with.
The stop watch was just to see how long it would take to actually sew up a standard 5" bear.
Oh WoW what a great pic Tami.
Thankyou for sharing
I love your pics of the day
I actually set a stop clock to 7 hours, and each time I took a break I would stop the clock and restart it once I started again. I think I was doing a 5" bear at the time. It took just over the seven hours straight.
BUT... that was straight sewing. You never count the times you stand back and look and ponder on how your bear will look.
The thing is we don't manufacture our bears.
They come from our creative minds and souls, so I think it really had taken me all my life to create that one bear.
Oh Gosh Chrissi, I didn't know that they would do that if you used a laptop.
I bet that one gets everyone by suprise.
So sorry to hear that you had your time away spoilt when you got back home.
