Thanks Wendy, I'm hoping to do even more along those lines and the old brain is ticking over with more stuff all the time. I really like trying to keep the magazine relevant to the experienced artists and the newcomers alike. It can be a stretch at times but I keep hoping to achieve the perfect magazine one day.  Well that's the aim, nothing like setting that bar line............  but then I have artists like yourself and Krista to help...........maybe it is achievable!!!!
Krista did a wonderful patten for me that we ran out of room to include but you will see it soon as I have a great idea for it. Just sit tight and see what happens
Hi Everyone
I have just sat and sent a "thanks" email to everyone. Short and sweet but if you have sent me a photo and don't get a "thanks" then it didn't make it through to me.
I have fixed the email link under my avatar so try again
Thanks everyone I have all the ones you sent so far.......if I haven't sent a thank you note please forgive me..........not only is my hand not 100% but darling husband Garth has decided to stress my even more with a midlife crisis change of life and stop being a motor mechanic and buy a book store. Which is great on one hand as I seriously love books, but can't cope with all the stress of re-financing our house and going for training on their in-house systems etc etc etc and a 9 year old and a dependant Mum since Dad died and all the things I do at Lara's school and the magazine deadlines and physio and....and....and ....and..........HOW do Mum's cope with more than one child ....I swear I'd be a mental case by now if I had more than Lara.
Must admit I'm looking forward to having the keys to the shop though in a few weeks time!!! Yeah all the books I want, maybe Garth can move his clothes out and I can fit another book case in the bedroom......mm gotta run and get the tape measure .....I'll move his clothes into the garage!!!
Thanks everyone.
As for the hand......well the tendon over one of the breaks has got caught up some how and when the physio started looking at that found that O have lost heaps of movement in the wrist as I was in the cast and brace for so long. But ......hey .......this is me!! Scince when has anything gone straight forward...... the guys at my physio know me so well they just cracked up. When I was there last week I got caught up in thisweird situation and Vaughn who was treating me jist shook his head. HIs comment "I know you keep telling us about the weird life you have and I was doubting but after seeing that I believe every word you tell me."
Personally I think it's because I actually answer the weird people back.....others walk by and ignore them, somehow they recognise they are weird...........I think they look normal.......what does that say about me???
All pandas welcome weird or not.
Don't know what is wrong with my email link on here will have to check.........may be why I;m getting the weird emails.
OK next feature article is panda in Australian Bear Creations. So I'm looking for all poseur pandas photos.......different, weird, unusual! All sizes all shapes all colours.
Please email them to me rather than PM. Sorry not putting my email address up here at the moment but click under my avatar.
thanks
Yep..........did know that!! I still think it corrupts the word though..........and yes that was the tyoe of photos but very very explicit couple photos!
Sorry I could only say YUK........well that was more mild reaction. I also opened the emails while my daughter was standing talking to me......which only me mad me more angry.
The emails appeared in my in box as as coming from TT members........the senders names were names I ecognised from the list and the subject lines were mentioning teddy bears and photos.
When I opned them they were embedded photos ........displaying [INVALID] photos of the section type of male that take the name in vain.
So it has teken someone some actual thought to look for and use the email address and to set up the sender name......it hasb\n't just been harvested.......plus using hte teddy bear subject line.
Very annoying and distasteful.
I know as editor of the magazine I often ask for emails from TT members...and I often include my direct email...........well obviously someone with a perverse sense of "humour" has read them as well.
I have recently received some emails with members names .......regular contributors who I trust.....attached to them.......though after I opened them and saw what was in them I went and checked and the email addresses were not theirs.
The content of the emails were certainly not your regular teddy bears......rather from that part of the community that has corrupted the the teddy bear name....x rated is putting it mildly...........perverted and obnoxious more like.
I have complained to my server and they are tracing the emails but I just thought others may want to NOT follow my example of putting your email address in the messages put up here for a while.
There really are some sad people out there.
HI
I'm doing an article on fairy bears for the magazine and I;m just looking for a variety of styles of bears and wings to compliment the article. So any photos plus comments on techniques of wings are welcome to my email.
Sorry if I haven't let you know if I've got them. I broke a heap of bones in my right hand in January and am now having soft tissue complications..........mmmm.....might be due to trying to get back to sewing too soon and typing too much......but hey I'm an artist and an editor give me a break!!
Some of you have emailed me some great Fairy Bears But still looking for more and any comments on sewing, desiging, buying or collectinf these bears.

HI Everyone
I am going to do a feature on fairy bears and different was to achieve fairy wings in the magazine. So of course am looking for great photos of both fairy bears and of different fairy wings.......both on and off the bears!!
If you think you can help please email hi res photos to me at sandra@bearhug.com.au.
I still have chipped and fractured bones in my right hand (apparently being 50 and fracturing the slowest bone in you body to heal is NOT a good combination!) so I may be slow to respond to your emails as I am also on magazine deadline and at the end of the day I just want to get off the computer!!
hugs
At a recent show I was approached by a bear artist who, almost aggressively, asked my why I had not answered her emails. Now, apart from currently having a severely damaged right hand, I usually always answer emails, it might take me a while but I do get there!
However I receive up to 200 or more emails a day, often 175 of these a of the type we all know.........offering male medical enhancement or cheap pharmecuticals!!
As I have the magazine on my computer I have a spam filter that stops or deletes any email that either doesn't have a subject line or has a suspect subject line such as "I want to introduce myself........often turns out to be a hooker wanting cyber sex!!" "Just to say hi.....ditto" "I'd like to show you....ditto again"
So please if you want to show me or another editor your work make the subject line clear that you are a bear artist and not after cyber sex or offering some medical service!
I know this may sound off or weird but I I have found that I have deleted many valid emails from bear artists through unclear subject lines or they have been sent with no subject lines at all!!
Please understand that you are sending emails to an industry that will have very stringent safeguards against viruses and trojans and our computers are often set to (or I personally) junk any emails that look at all suspect.
Don't think that I or any editor is ignoring you if an email is not answered, if your subject line is not clear you may have been deleted for safety reason.......please change your subject line and re-send.
Something along the lines of ..............New bears from My bears........or .......latest creation of My bears.........My bears introduces new bears at xyz show........will always get my attention over "Just to say hi "
Sorry if this sounds like a rant but I was upset to be accused of ignoring artists......I would never do this intentionally.
hugs
Hi Jane
As I said I was also upset but I talked to the keepers who were there. Barny died from old age quite peacefully and was really very old for a bear. He shared his enclosure with 2 females who actually gave him a really hard time and eventually they were sperated.
The decision to maintain his pelt was taken due to the fact they was so much interst in the bears and questions as to what they feel like, how dense the fur, how big the paw pads etc from the public.
Barny is helping to educate the public in Australia about bears and there is a box with the skin for the public to make donations which is dedicated to help with rescuing bears from Asia, when the his pelt is on show. The jkeepers told me that it raises substantial funds as people become quite upset about the plight of the bears as they connect more strongly with them.
After hearing this I felt much better about their decison and much less judgmental.
On a recent trip to Sydney Taronga Zoo I realised that when our male Kodiak Bear died three years ago the zoo had him skinned and tanned.
I was quite upset at first but on talking to the keepers I was told that they felt that many people would be interested in touching a real bear and feeling the softness of the fur and also seeing the claws etc up close. I must admit that the skin was drawing a lot of attention and questions.
So I took these photos of the claws as I must admit that I did not realise how different they were from front to back

Hope no-one is too upset
So funny - but I'm NOT showing my best friend this!!
I did the Macarena with my best friends' boyfriend in line at the bank because I'm [INVALID] and I do what I want
Wendy
I sent all the emails together and yours didn't indicate a bounce......so I'm so sorry. I have sent it again as I'm working late once again and I don't think I can phone you at midnight.
I have just spent so many days at the Dr's surgery that I have spent the last few weeks working nights.....so I was forced to email everyone rather than having the fun of phoning......which I soooo wanted to do.
I hope everyone else got their emails!!
