I agree that we do live in a cruel world. And animals can be the cruelest killers but for the majority of animals, most only kill to eat and most live in balance and harmony with their enviroment. Plus they are just animals.

I think humans are the only ones who have a great capacity for rational thought and yet practice macabre rituals for killing our food aswell as destroying our enviroment.

Boiling turtles, skinning live animals and hunting creatures to extinction for trophies and hocus pocus medicines that don't work, can only ever have been thought up by us.

Oh I love him!!!  bear_wub   bear_wub   bear_wub

He is such a gorgeous pup!!!

I also have a spaniel but she's a Cavalier King Charles. She's so regal and when we got her we called her Honey after Sad Sam's girlfriend!!!

I love Puppies - just don't miss the toilet training!!!

LOL

Sometimes buying on line is just not worth it!!!

I refuse to buy electrical or very expensive items from ebay as they are so open to con merchants, plus if the item is faulty, all the hassle that would follow trying to get it replaced or refunded !!!

No thanks

Claire

beary_clairey

I think its disgusting that they are selling live turtles.

Apart from the fact I wouldn't eat a lobster or a crab either, there should be practices in place for the most humane way to treat these creatures and dropping them in a pot of boiling water isn't one of them!!!!

Where is this petition - I would sign !!!

Oh look at those pups!!!

Don't they make your heart sing??

I'm so sorry for your loss!! No words can describe what you and your family are going through.

What a crying shame that poor little lad will grow up without his Mum.

Your in my thoughts!!!

beary_clairey

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2007 WHEN...

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of four.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that
they don't have e-mail addresses.

6. You go home after a long day at work and still answer the phone in a
business manner.

7. You make phone calls from home and accidentally dial "9" to get an
outside line.

8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three
different companies.

10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11o'clock news.

11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job!!!!

12 You pull up in your own driveway and use your mobile phone to see if
anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

13. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the
screen.

14. Leaving the house without your mobile phone, which you didn't have the
first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and
you turn around to go and get it.

15. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile.

17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this
message.

19. You are too busy to notice there was no number 9 on this list.

20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a number 9 on
this list. AND NOW YOU ARE LAUGHING AT YOURSELF.  (oh yes) l!!!!!

I can't believe it Jane!! I'm stunned for you!!!

I hope that your husband recovers well.

WHY do you collect teddy bears?

I have always loved teddy bears since I was a little girl and have always had bears as part off my life. They are the most cutest, loving, homely creatures.

HOW did you discover the (adult) world of teddy bear collecting?

I used to go to a beauty salon and the lady who was a recptionist there had some of her bears on display. She then put me in the right direction.

WHAT kind of bears do you collect... and WHY?

Artist bears mostly, although sometimes I cannot resist those ones you get in card shops sometimes.

WHERE do you buy your bears?

Artists websites and Ebay.

HOW do you display your bears?

On bookshelves, cabinets and little bits of furniture.

Tracy - Darren's company sounds terrible. My cousin lives in Chicago and I now that you guys have it tougher out there when it comes to holiday and sickness.

I now appreciate my company so much more, who are easy going and very helpful !!!

Anyway hope Darren feels back to normal soon and that he finds a wonderful job not long after !!!

Hugs to you both

I'm so happy for you Tracey that your worst fears have been dissolved.

I still think that your hubby should have a bit of R&R time though. Can the doctor not sign him off work for a week or so, that way he can fully recupperate and its illegal to go back to work if you have been signed off. Something to do with health and safety and the companies insurance!!!

Anyway Big Hugs

I Have never been to the NEC or Huggletts.

However i did attend the one at Ally Pally, the year before last and did feel a bit let down. It was smaller than I imagined and even though some beautiful artists where there many of the Big Names in the bear world, were starting to Bow out of this show. So was disappointed somewhat!!!

I'm going to Huggletts in Feb and am hoping for bigger and better things!!!

From my view - they are some briiliant new bear artists around as well as the more experienced artists still making incredible bears, so can see no reason why a new show couldn't be successful !!!

Hugs

Claire
