Fran, these are fabulous!  The mermaid is especially stunning!  Is her tail needle felted?

What beautiful creations your sister makes.  Breathtaking.

So I need a little education here.....she starts with rovings like we do?
How on earth does she get the long locks to look curly the way they do?
The effect is beautiful

Dilu, you have to use this

http://cgi.ebay.ca/100g-HAND-DYED-GOTLA … dZViewItem

This is what my unicorn's mane and tail were made of.

It's hard to felt, but it's still a natural fibre, so it will felt evenually.

Alot of Doll artists use this stuff.  Of course the auction is just an example, and boy do I have tonnes of the stuff!

Heather - don't do that again! - i've just bought some of the stuff and i have'nt even MADE anything yet!!!!

Blimey, i'll have more wool than Burberry if i go on like this. If it all goes pear shaped and i turn out to absolute rubbish at needle felting someone will be getting a bargain bundle on eBay i can tell you!!!!
