Hello Jodi,
I was trying to also make a banner.. That is so funny. Looks like you are way ahead of me...though.
I'm going to tackle it in the next few days as I been home with this awful stomach virus.
Let me know how you progress though.
I LOve the last ones little adorable face!!
Just "duckY" !!!
A PIN cashion, how fabulous.!!
At least you won't loose it!!!
I'm always finding needles all over the place.
Now I have a huge magnet on a stick and I wave it around the living room to find strays. I look like I trying to find hidden treasure.
Jodi,
Sorry I don't subsribe to them, But if memory serves me right a few years ago I had an article printed in there. I was able to have them send me a copy once I was able to locate an email address.
Congratulations!!!
Sorry to hear about that. I remember growing up in England and it used to be in our coat wardrobe. It was a lot easier., but that was also near our stairway.
Here in NE we have them mounted outsie on the siding to make it easier, this way they don't have to come into the house.
Have you tried talking to a supervisor to see it there is an alternative.
I wish you luck.
I want to thank you all for your kind words and support..
Now that I've got over the shock.
It's amazing how stressed I got over the whole thing.
Must be my A-type personality
Thank you once again and my apologies to Nancy if I affended her in posting the info on the awards.
LOVE is in the air, do, do, do , do.
Sorry don't know how to sing on the internet.
But they look like they are in love.
Penney
Thank you for all your kind words...
Now that I've got ovver the shock of the whole thing.
I am extremely proud of my polar bear and the care and time I took in making him.
Probably so much So that I would'nt part with him
My daughter wants to keep him for her collection.
Here is a face pic of him..
Just wanted to say I spotted it on the banners and I clicked on your Blog.
Congratulations   with the Boyds bears.
Any other interesting articles.
I just adore your designs,
Penney
I'm so sad and disappointed
I've been working on this polar bear for the last few weeks. My very first ever realistic bear, as I tend to stick to miniatures.
And I sent out my deposit yesturday.
My paperwork was due out today and I had a very nice email back from telling me the AWARDS HAD BEEN CANCELLED THIS YEAR, due to a lack of participants.
I came home so sad and gave my polar bear a BIG hug.
It's all too stressful on Ebay!!
I've experienced the same with watchers and bidders.
Mind baffling... That's why I prefer not to put them on auction site and I'd rather put mu efforts into creating the bears.
I don't mean to chuckle but I have had the same problems with one of the bears I was working on. After three bodies, I decided to make him into a lion!!!
And I am using vintage plush for his body.
Fingers crossed it works and I'll post him here when he's done.
Hi Jodi,
I have experienced the same problems as you, but it seems most of the people have covered it well.
I've managed to get it down to a science. Just don't change your template, that seems to compound the problems.
All the best,
Penney
Wow, now this is somehting I would love to try.
Thanks for the wonderful detailed instructions.
Hello,
I just bought a ton of them at AC Moore. $1.29 30-35mm and a 40% coupon.
I've also noticed them in bulk on Ebay.
And fortunately the fabric store around the corner has them for 89c and 99c., if I'm stuck!
First and foremost, congrats to all the nominees.
Here is my first entry into the TOBY competition.
I think I will wait a few years.. to develop my skills as there are so many talented Artists out there.
This is Mohini, and she is a 3 inch tiger.
I certainly DO believe, your BEAR is far more creative, colorful and cuter.
Thank you so much.
My daughter is eager to help out with the cards.
You're the best.
Penney
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the rules for taking pictures for a competition.
On the written section it describes three pictures need to be taken. One is supposed to be taken diagonally of the bear/animal. Yet on the form that you submit the photos, it says, head shot, front shot and SIDE shot.
Which is right, diagonal or side shot.
My husband says I'm wrong!!
Can anyone help???
I adore the wings also. And all the tips on eyes and shading.
Thank you
What a precious darling!
