Hello Everyone. The TOBY Public's Choice Winners were announced last night and I was lucky!! My bear "HAPPY!" won the TOBY Award in the under 14" undressed category.
Sorry but I do not have any more information other than that. I hope that someone will post the list very soon...or if any of you know of any other winners please post it so we can all celebrate together.

HE'S BACK!!!! Shamu came back at 1am early this morning. Wow, that was almost a week that he was gone. My husband was up and I was in bed and he said, " Judi! Shampoo ( he calls him shampoo) is back!" I flew out of bed. He wouldn't let me sleep last night he wanted me to cuddle and pet him....Shamu that is.
I wonder where the heck he's been. Ah well, he's back.

ooooo. Photo shop or dracula cat? Freaky!
Well Debbie, I had better pick myself up off the floor. 50 YEARS! We are talking "feeders" right". I love fish. I love looking into an underwater world...hhhmm..might be the picese in me.
So you used to own a fish shop. That is so cool Debbie. I used to work in a pet shop as a teenager. Did you carry any other animals? I never knew that about the slime on the fish but that does make sense. Thanks for sharing that info. I love little tidbits like that.
We just got three hermit crabs from our trip tp Hilton Head South Carolina. We found out that they are not allowed on airplanes....but the gate agent...bless her heart...apporached us and quietly advised that we put the hermit crabs in our carry on bag so she would "see" them as we boarded the plane. They were very securely placed in thier carrying case and were very small ( we have a large crab habitat here at home). Apparently if they get out they can scuttle off and snip wires. Yikes. We just figured that since people tale dogs on planes that crabs wouldn't be a problem. I feel like a crab smuggler
Everything was fine. We wouldn't take any chances....and well....heck...we're still here.
wow Tami. I was saying "oooooo" and "aahhhh" as I scrolled down. You take beautiful photos. So clear and such detail. The baby elephant, cheetah, and hippo...and bear or course...are my favs that you took. And YOU look GREAT!!!
Thanks Melanie.
I have say WOW! A feeder fish that lived 13 years. That's really neat to hear. Again...it's the TLC
It's magic.
Here you go Birgitte:

Hi Imma, what a cute little bear. I know how special these little bear friends from the past are. I wish I had time to help you but I am so busy I can hardly keep on top of my laundry.... I bet someone here will help you.....if they haven't already...hhhhmmm... Ellen?
Best of luck to you and Jeremy.
Oh my gosh Kathy! What a saint you are.
And what a lucky dog. It is appalling what some people do to animals. She is beautiful. I love happy endings.

Oh No!!! I just now went o feed my goldfish and found one missing. Then I saw him on the counter all dreid up.
He must have been thinking he was Shamu the whale at Seaworld and jumped out of the bowl
I bought these goldfish last Fall for 12 cents each at Wal Mart. They were feeder fish but we bought them for pets. We were told by the oh so knowledgeable sale person that they would not live past two weeks since they were "low quality poorly bred fish only bred for feeders".....(we were believing that).... Well it just goes to show what a little love can do...even for a fish.
Hi Birgitte. Here is a link to a thread here on TT that is loaded with great advice and tips on trimming muzzles. Get your self a cuppa tea and enjoy the loooong read. I hope you find it useful.
http://www.teddy-talk.com/viewtopic.php?id=5085
Also there are even more topics on muzzles in the TT Library located next to that happy little smily face waving his arms on near the top of the left hand side of the forum.
Happy Reading!

Awe, Thanks for asking Tami, Sue Ann, and Luann.
There is still no sign of Shamu. I have called the police and our vet clinic to see if anyone has found him.
He has never been away this ling. He loves to be outside but always wants back in the house. On occasion he has been out over night but by morning is frantic to get back inside.
Both my daughters are away from home on vacations so neither of them know. My son isn't sure what to make oif it. He thinks we should adopt Sailor...another barn kitty on our farm tht is really friendly.
I miss Shamu and they way he sleeps with me at night and dances on head in the morning to get up and feed him. The vet said he could still come home.
You know , I had no idea you all felt this way.
You are the most supportive, generous, and kind group of fine people I have had the honor and privilege to get to know here on TT and even outside TT.
It's such a comfort to know that even though I don't get out much I can visit you all across the globe right here from my kitchen counter where I keep my mac book. We are all just a click away from each other.
A book, Birgitta..... I am so flattered that you mention that. That has crossed my mind at times....I'm not sure exactly what would go in it but but I am talking things over with my Brother. he is a professor at Washington State University and he is interested in helping me with this. So...maybe.
GROUP BEAR HUG EVERYONE>     Bless your hearts!!!
Oh, I'll take it!!!
Our kitty is missing right now. He wondered off a few days ago and has not returned. He has never been gone this long before. He loves to be outside but once in a while he stays out all night and by morning is frantic to get back inside the house.
I have driven around looking for him in our area...we live on a farm and there are not many houses around. I cannot find him.
It has now been four days.
I have called our local police and veterinary clinics to see if anyone may have found a lost cat. No luck. My printer is down so I cannot print any pictures to put up in pour local grocery store.
I hope he will just show up at our door ...soon.
     Way to go!!!
Awe Tami you lucky girl. You teddy wonderful

I am really touched by your comments Jeanie, Tami, Jared, Daphne, Shane and Paula.
I have to say that YOU are all an inspiration to me. I have also seen your work grow over a short time and the support that you offer, not only to me but others in this industry, reaffirms what a beautiful bear world we are all a part of.
Winning is very bitter-sweet. As thrilling as it is to win....I hate that others feel some disappointment. Especially when I know so many of you in the same categories as me. That's the downside. I know...I have been on both sides.
I hope you will all continue to enter into all the awards because even a nomination alone is a huge honor.
I'll enter again...with something really really new in the future. In the meantime I am going to "git my design ON!" ![]()
Awe Thanks Jeannie.    You're a sweetheart!
And...I had no idea TB and F was out with my Sugar Bear Pattern. It may be at the post office. We have been out of town all week.
I hope I get it tomorrow.
CONGRATULATIONS TAMI!!!!! I am thrilled for you Sis.
...for me anyway. I feel like I have been ever so blessed and honored with everything I have in my life...my family...my experiences( dolphins, tigers etc..) ...and the trophies and honors in the bear world.
I have put an extraordinary amount of time, and energy( not to mention $$$) into competing that I feel like I need a break. I also feel like I have enough trophies. Dr. Wayne Dyer says "When your cup is full, stop pouring." Be happy with what you have. I am very happy with my life and my bears. I also feel like bear awards ...as nice and thrilling as they are to have, just don't make me a better artist.
How do you all feel about all these contests???
I hope I still fel this way come fall.....
I just got home from vacation and while I was at Hilton head SC my dad google searched and showed me the results. I almost fell on the floor. We were having such a fantastic time at the beach resort that I totally forgot about the GT awards. What a happy week we had and this was the icing on the cake.
I think I may hold back on competitions for a while.....when you're cup is full stop pouring. My cup is full.

Congratulations Paula!!

Mine came out "Talent" also ...but in the movie question I just guessed because I have never seen any of those movies. Some of the answers to the questions were not yes or no answers.....
These are fun though.
