Well, I ordered the book today as part of a kit with needles, foam block and 6 things ( don't remember proper terminology) of wool. I ordered from a place called The Felted Ewe. They are located in California. Prices and shipping were good and I thought they had alot of colors to choose from. So now I'm just PATIENTLY waiting and waiting ok not so good with the patient part.

Kind of an improvement from the real photo. I've had worse hair days

Daphne, does this fur has the suede like back or is it more like mohair backing?

Hi everyone, I decided I want to give needle felting a try but don't really know too much about it. I have been looking around on the web and saw this book Needle felting magic by barabara allen. I'm thinking about ordering it. I was wondering if anyone has it and did you find it helpful? I want to try and needle felt a little bear but I would also like to do faces and paws on my mohair bears too. Is this a good book for needle felting dummies? Thanks
Kathleen
Wow! I do the ears last too! Partly because it is my least favourite part and partly because I kinda use the rest of the finished bear as a gauge for where exactly I want to put the ears. I never really know what a bear is going to look like till it is finished.

Daphne,
Sometimes it helps to stop and count the blessings, even small blessings in your life. ( I can't believe I'm telling this to you because when I get stressed and my husband tells me to think of the blessings in my life I just want to scream but, if I do stop and think about it , it does help some. It doesn't change the situation but it does make you realize that there is some good in your life. Sending you warm fuzzy bear hugs too.

Oh Jodi, to be sick for your birthday!!! Sending you my prayers, my hugs, my bear hugs, my dog hugs and a great big BIRTHDAY hug!!!! Hope you are feeling better soon. Have you tried rubbing some vicks vapor rub on your chest, it's kinda old fashioned but it seems to ease the breathing and help with the coughing, at least for me.
Hope you are up and about soon

Oh you all are so nice! Thanks for all your sweet compliments. My husband does bring home alot of candy. When I first started dating him he was always bringing me candy, so I took it to work, the people at my work told me I'd better keep him. Sometimes, when they are experimenting with new products ( chocolate covered pistachios- not a hit by the way ) he brings home lots to try on our friends and family , we are kinda a chocolate test market. On the down side when he doesn't take his work boots off and tracks chocolate in the house I am not a happy camper! Well, thanks again for all your kind remarks.
