Wow how on earth can you make bears that small???? You must have to sew them right side out, is there even any stuffing in there? The smallest I've tried is 4" and it took me as long to make as a 12" bear! I think I must have clumsy fingers as I spent more time looking for the tiny tiny bits every time it flew out out my hands
your skill is amazing!
michelle
Oh yes very sweet little bear

Makes me
!!
Haven't posted anything for ages as my life is going through one of those super hectic periods of good and bad and am so behind with everything
Anyway I finally managed to finish these two 7"/18cm mice.

Pierre Mimolette and Marcel Tomme are two French sailor mice. They met on board ship as stowaways and quickly became great friends. At first they thought they were both suffering from sea sickness. But as it turned out not even mice like to eat ships biscuits and as soon as Marcel discovered the Captains secret supply of Almond Tuiles their life at sea became a whole lot better. ‘We have certainly sailed the globe’ says Marcel ‘and you know what sailors are like a cheese in every port’ he added with a wink.
Thank you for looking
Rin thank you so much for sharing this tip about the curtain (window drapes in the US) weights.
Yes they are curtain weighting they are used to put in the hem of curtains to make the gathers/tucks look more even at the bottom or to stop the fabric billowing out. It has given me a great idea how to use them as weighting to run through out the arms and legs using them as a string. They even come in different sizes so you can scale up or down in line with your bear. Conni is right about the staining though will have to investigate how lead reacts a bit more. Still fab tip

Wow thank you Joanne that is even better if I don't even have to faff about making an inner core but can just mix them in and among the stuffing
making the bear feel real is exactly what I was going for. Rin has given me a great idea about using the curtain weights too. As they come in a string I was thinking that it would be possible to attach them to the joint at the top and they would give an inner weight though out the middle of the arms and legs, They would even fit down the middle of armature . Can't wait to give this a try
I just love TT everyone is just so helpful
