I didn't know about Mendels either, Thank you.  There is another site that sometimes has some good fur in Los Angles...www.distinctivefabric.com  I bought some short cow print fur from them when I was making cows.  It is always great to find more places to find plush furs.

Sounds like fun.  My room is always such a mess with projects sitting here and there.  If I can get it cleaned enough to post pictures, I will join you.  Good luck and hope to see a lot of other peoples work spaces.

Bevery at www.imstuffedfur.com has been able to get some of the feather fur yet.  She said that it is being discontinued so it is hard for her to get.  I just ordered some as I wanted to try it.  She is out of New York.  Nice lady to work with.  I have been ordering from her for over 8 years.

I too have used CR's Crafts for over 20 years for me.  Then WalMart for stuffing.  The shot I can not get in our local WaMart so have to go to gun store, don't know the regulations in CA on this.  You can also try ebay as sometimes you can find good buys on there.

This bear went to a collector.  She loves butterflies and as soon as I posted it, she had to have it.  Sorry the picture is so dark you can hardly see the butterfly on her shoulder.

Pricing, I don't think has been mentioned.  How too???  Hang tags, adoption papers, packaging, signature..on the bear or on tag?  Labels, business cards, post cards, brochures.

Most of my bears have center seams.  Like posted before you just have to line everything up and pin everything together and there won't be a problem.

Thomas, it has been a couple of years since I traveled with one of my bears.  I had made a bear for my grandson and I just carried it in my arms and it went through the xray machine and no one hassled me about it at all.   Most people just wanted to know where I got it and I just handed them one of my business cards.   I live in the states and I don't know how it works in England.

OMG!  Your work is amazing!  I am a cat lover and have tried to make a couple of cats and I just can't get them to look real.  Your cat will be sold before the show.

I, like almost everyone else, started out buying patterns and making bears from them.  I also bought alot of books on bear making.  Over the years, I learned how to make my own patterns and the style that I like.  I still buy patterns and every so often make a bear from some one elses pattern just to see how it turns out.  The funny part is I always want to alter the pattern to my style     I can now, after 30 years of making bears, sit down with a pad and pencil and design the pattern without any problems.  I like traditional bears and also like to work with the longer fun furs.  I have always worked in synthetic furs and enjoy the variety of them that are available.

I have to thank you for being such a caring person.  You deserve the biggest hug for stopping and doing what you could for that poor dog.  I have had to put animals down because of poor health but did everything I could before I went that route.  Then cried for days when the final time came.  I just don't understand why people could do what they did to this sad little dog and after having it as long as they did, it had to be like one of the family.

Good luck with your name.  When I started my online business a couple of years ago, I tried to get several names and they were all taken.  I make other things besides bears, but mainly bears and I had to end up with a name I am not very fond of but at this point everyone knows it so it will stay.  I have used the online name for many years in my business but I wanted something cuter for my website.  Hope you find a name that you like for a long time.

Along with all the others, I use PayPal too.  I find it very easy and the fees are not high and when I transfer the monies to my bank account it is done within the 3 business days like they say.

Her name fits her perfectly.
