I am pleased to introduce the first pig I ever made. She is 2 3/4 inches high standing, but can't stand unaided. Anime style again. Her name is Rosalinde. You can't see it, but she has a piggie tail.
Sophie and I are mid-way with our bears. We spend too much time chatting on Yahoo Messenger though. :P
These swaps are stimulating. I always try to make the best bear ever, trying a new pattern and some different finishing techniques. Fun.
Lisa, you can click on the user name and get the whole profile with names, map, avatar and personal picture. Neat!
I too love chubby cheeks. I learned by trial and error and from looking at pictures of bears with chubby cheeks. My first tries endedn up with clean shaven muzzles
but now I got the hang of it using a technique as described by the others here. On short pile mohair I have cheated
I just cut a line to offset the muzzle from the head, shaved the nose bridge and cut the mouth short. The shape of the head with a short muzzle also helps.
Account guard only works with Windows systems and I am on a Mac. I am very careful though and forward everything suspicious email to spoof@ebay.com. Just wanted to alert everyone to the risks, cause I wasn't aware what releasing my ebay id might do.
I just got spooked. It never occurred to me before, but today I got a strange email pretending to be from Ebay, but it was spoof. Reading Ebay's security information I discovered that they include both my name and my ebay id in a message sent through their system. That's one way of finding out if something is a legitimate email. Then I got a message from someone asking about a bear on my private website. I haven't sold on ebay, but this message went at least through the system in my messages. BUT this got me thinking that it may not be a good idea to publicly display our ebay ids here or anywhere else, where it can be connected to our real names. Spoofer can find it and create even more difficult to detect fake messages. So I have removed my id from my profile again.
BTW, whoever sent me that message about my bear missed that ebay policy prohibits this kind of usage of their system. Don't email anything through their system that doesn't regard ebay business. However, if you are reading this (if it was someone from TT), I am flattered that you like one of my bears. PM me instead.
Sorry, I'm still a little shook up and rambling. Twice today I feared my account had been hacked. Too much excitement for me.
Hi Diane,
I just checked bearcountry.uk and they have several cotton plush types and white wool plush. Is that not the same as yours? Admiral-bears.com (in uk) has cotton and probear.com has both wool and cotton fabrics.
Hope this helps.
Duff - I used a 1.0 mm crochet hook with punch thread (not sure about US size, Japanese Clover 6), but sometimes I use even smaller thread and hook.
Shari, if its quilt spray glue it may not be permanent. At least my quilts come apart if I don't quilt them right away.
Thank you Duff. They are crocheted and a bit larger than yours, about 2.5 inches. I think its ok to put the pics here, because not everybody looks in the showcase section. I'm not sure myself and do sometimes here sometimes there. I wasn't criticizing you, just telling that I had my bears in showcase.
Kelly - that glue comment scared me. Is special fabric glue bad too? Nancy recommends a drop of glue behind the eyes. Maybe I should stop doing that.
Very nice all of them! Must add you to my list of future dream swap partners.
I have been putting my minis in the Showcase, but here they are. Crocheted animes. Akina the pink baby and Kameko.
What a cutie. Lucky you Sophie. Good job Gina.

Awwww, Judi, drooling here as always over your bears.
I love long muzzles and he is just gorgeous. I'm sure he would sell well, but I'd keep him. He is so cute.
Awww, what a wonderful bear Marion. Love him.
Thank you all for your compliments. Sure feels good.
Meet Akina, my latest amigurumi mini bear. I made her for a lady who loves pink bears and she was over the moon happy when she got her.
Very pretty and sweet. Lucky you Helena and good job Gina.
