oh Michelle do it I have done a two day workshop with Patti while she was down under last year and what a lovely lady she made me feel welcome and no question was to dumb and it was only the third doll I have ever made! Her creativity just oozes out of her if you know what I mean? She has a genuine interest in all fabric art she even asked me to take along one of my bears. I would highly recommend her.

Hi Jane they all look wonderful I am stunned by the feet and hands on your primates they are amazing look so real you must put hours into them I hope you have a great show on Sunday crossing my fingers for you. :hug:  :hug:

thats fantastic Jane after reading one of your earlier posts I was moved to adopt a chimp for my daughters 12 birthday, she is gorgeous her name is Trudy and my daughter thinks she is the best present she has ever had and we will be traveling to England later this year (around hugglets time) to visit grandparents and family and  to visit Trudy and we are all looking forward to seeing monkeyworld close up. They do such great work .

Oh I know what your saying over the xmas break I made myself finish UFO's from the last year because I wanted to start this year with a clean slate and I even re organised my workroom and now I can't seem to make a decision on what to start on. I usually have a couple on the go at once (cant seem to do one at a time) I did sign up for my first show for this year yesterday so hoping that will spur me on.

Claire it may not happen overnight but it will happen hang in there.

Oh yes heather she is lovely and like Tina says it all goes way to fast i had a year off and it went so quickly my baby will be 12 next Saturday!

I can play yes we had a rat called Missy she was lovely died of old age (4 yrs old) just before Xmas cried like a big sook miss her antics greeting me every morning.

I have three helpers , my two dogs Busta (Beagle) and Ziggy (Border Collie) aka the boys and Chloe my cat they come in and out of my workroom to keep an eye on me and lay down right in the door way. Can get tricky when I am engrossed in doing something and my arm gets nudged by a head wanting mum to have a pat and a second head appears just so not to miss out and I can't make any sudden moves out of my chair because Chloe is usually wrapped around my ankles or on my lap. Love them all to bits if Busta could get in my lap too he would.

I'm with Christine my 11 year old is always showing her father how to text or take a picture so I ease drop so I don't sound to dumb soooooo now all I have to do is work out how to use the new digital camera they gave me for Xmas?

the best thing having my mum and dad and sisters and their families arriving for a surprise 50th birthday celebration from New Zealand and interstate Victoria.

these dolls are beautiful when they are done properly and i think of them as works of art a couple of years ago i was at a bear show in Sydney and there was a woman there who was carrying around her bear in one of those harness things you carry babies in the front of you. She talked to him and held him up to other bears to have a conversation with them.  She made everybody in that room smile (in a nice way). personally I have great conversations with my bears but only in the privacy of home.

Gordon and I have been married for 18 years lived together for 24 we both came from opposite ends of the earth , I'm a kiwi he is English we met here is Oz , he is just the best and i wouldn't part with him. He even took up the cooking in our house to let me make my bears in the evenings and weekends and we both have fulltime jobs. Doesn't get any better than this (I had been married before I refuse to call him number two when he is number one to me)

I was at a bear workshop on the weekend and saw a seal made up that has been designed by Jennifer Laing but I'm not sure where she would have the pattern perhaps in one of her teddy bear & friends pattern books?

I have seen these many times over the years and recently there was an episode on 60 minutes about these scammers. I have seen letters and emails from everybody from government departments down from Nigeria all wanting to launder money and sadly people do get sucked in . My opinion for what its worth don't touch anything coming out of Nigeria. these people will try anything!
