Good luck!! Hope you manage to make a week without the computer! I know I cant! :P
See you next week!
Oh wow!! How cool to see a real bear in the nature!! I have only seen them at zoo´s, not same thing I think. Its great piccies!! I understand your hubby was excited!!
Isnt it scary to have a big bear in the back yard? I think I would be a little nervouse...
Thanks for sharing!!
It looks like a smart thing that thingy! I want one! lol But I have no use for it I think.. Hehe, when I make my mini bears I use a tweezers. Think that works best.. But you´ll never know.
Wonder if I can get my dad to make me one that looks like that, just to try...
Great to hear you are home again! Hope the infection goes away soon, and that you heal fast. Happy Birthday!!
My prayers and thoughts are with you all in London! Hope nothing more happens!
Same here!! Hope to have you back soon!
hehe, good one!
I use a pen, bought here in Sweden, that dissapear after a whike...So far I have used it on all my bears, even white ones, and you cant see it at all! Think its great, even tho you can mark too dark colors..
Any idea of what do draw with on cashmere?
Hi Jane!
I havent had an operation, but Im sorry to hear about your pain! I hope the list is short, so you get your operation soon, and dont need to have that pain!
I hope you feel better now, with no pain! I will be thinking of you!! *hugs*
Hello all!
Think this is a great topic! :)
When I first started to make my own bears I think I was inpired by Cayas Cubs (www.cayascubs.com) I bought my self one, and she was so tiny and cute! I still think she makes such cute bears! And she is a lovley lady too! :)
There are two other women that I think make wonderful bears! One is Mary Holstad (I just love her dogs!) and Michelle Lamb is the other! I wish I could make bears like hers...
I havent found my style yet, but I hope I will some day.
There are so many bear artists out there that make such wonderful bears, both that I like and dont like. But they are great anyway! And I get inspired by many bears I see out there, even tho I wont want them all.
Hmm.. I think I have two UFOs.. Started on two bears about two years ago.. Or is it three.. And then I lost interest.. Or maybe should say inspiration.. And One is almost finishes.. Just need to fill him up and so.. And the other is a little more to do.. But I have said to myself that I will finish them.. When I have the time....
And the one that is almost finished is my first pattern too! So he is all my design..
I was going to make him as a Special course in my school. And when I never finished him, I took another bear I had done, and the pattern for that bear...
And it wasnt my pattern... :o
Oh, well. They are in a box somewhere.. But as I said, when I have the time.....
Cool!! :D
I must say that I have started to like yours Gollys Dilu!! They are sweet!
Judi, your bear do really look like you! Except that you smile more in your photos!
They look great togehter!!
I know this is pretty late from when the first post was posted, but I just saw it, and thought I would give my reply..
I dont have any animals, but I love them, and would love to have a cat, a dog, a rabbit, a pony, a.... should I continue..? lol
Unfortnantly I cant have animal with fur, cause Im allergic to them, especially cats and rabbits. Have borrow my brothers dog sometimes, but I need to take allergy pills, otherwise my nose is a mess and I sneeze, and get red eyes and so...
Yep, I do it too!
I hand sew all my bears.. Maybe cause I make small bears. Cant imagine them in a sewing machine.. But I will make some larger bears too, and then I think I will make some by the machine.. Not sure yet.. Time will see..
But I dont think anyone is crazy or old fashioned just because they sew everything by hand. As long as the artist is happy with the bear, I dont think it does matter how you sew him!
Thanks for telling us Judi! I have thought of try air brushing, but I think I need to make a bear first :P
Oooh, there are just so many things I wanna try!
I think you are pretty well Shelli! Feedback follows the name...
I know a girl who changes her name on ebay, and I have bought some stuff from her (within the past 6 months I think), and then she got a little thingy beside her name, and when I clicked on it, it stood something about her changing name..
Nancy, if you want to change, then change! After all, its your decicion, and if it makes you happy with your new name, rather then the old, then you should change!
And Sweden is 1 hour ahead of London. Like Paris..
I do eyes, then nose and then ears...
Thanks for your warm welcome!!
Dilu.. Oh, to be honest.. I think that there are more people making nice porcelein dolls (or whatever they use to make them) then there are people making bears.
And when you tell people that you are making bears, they look at you, and ask what that is. Its like you make a bear = you make a toy. And what is that for kind of job?!
And when you say you collect teddy bears, they think (most people anyway) that you are nuts. Especially when you are my age I think. Im only 20 years, and a 20 year old girl that collect teddies, whats wrong with her? Im supposed to go out party, and stuff like that! Be more interested in my look then in teddies..
But I dont care, I love teddies, and my boyfriend likes them too, and my family has accepted it.. :)
But I think that bears do look the same all over the world, when they are "Made In Taiwan" (I dont mean anything bad or mean). And with artist bears.. Its the same there too, they have their own personallity and stuff. I think its pretty much the same like in the states.. But I will see if I can get some piccies and show you.
Oh, and Dilu, my mum´s mothers maiden name is Lundgren.. Who knows...? :P;)
Hugs,
Jossan
If it is not your own pattern, I dont think you are allowed to sell the bear without premission from the maker. But if it is your pattern, then there is no problem.
I hope you can sell your bears soon!
Hugs,
Jossan
