YIKES!  Hope you're recovery is quick and as painfree as possible. Geezzzz....I feel better now about living up here in COLD North Dakota...I think the deadliest insects we have are bees (and that's only if your allergic). I HATE bugs, especially spiders...and I only have to deal with the non-poisonous kind!

She is simply amazing. Long story short, we waited a LONG time for her (over eight years). I had had 14 miscarriages prior to her birth. Now everytime I look into her big brown eyes I just thank God for her.  :pray: Many people tell us we were very lucky. I correct them...no....we were "blessed."
And now with her sister Elizabeth, my 1 year old,  (only 1 month early at 5 lb. 8 ounces...big in my standards!) we are TRULY BLESSED.
YIKES...better run...Ellie (Elizabeth) is smothering our himi, Daizee, with a little too much love! (She likes to lay on her...and Daizee's so laid back she doesn't fight back!)  Better rescue the cat!

My daughter, Abby, is now 4 years old. She was born at 1 pound, 4 ounces. She spent the first 14 months of her life in Children's Hospital in Minneapolis (celebrating her first birthday their with her medical family), and was jetted home with a trach on a ventilator. She had her trach until she was 22 months old (in which time we had in-home nursing help...bless you BECKY). Though she had a rough beginning in life , she is doing remarkably well and is a very comical 4 year old   - Thanks to ALL the many prayers that were said for her.
She is my little miracle...

Hi all,
am posting my last panda a teeny bit late    ...meant to get him on earlier this evening, but my 1-year old who is having a time with teething and thought I should wait....    
So please meet....ummmm...to be honest I haven't named him yet...with Elizabeth having such a time with her teething the last couple days, I'm lucky I was even able to finish him.
He is the first bear I have ever made out of mohair...and the biggest bear I've made...at about 8 inches standing. He was fun to make. Well am gonna cut this short and get him up here, since he is already a little past the time for the challenge....

I have no tips on making bears with mink...or any real fur...have never done it ...but if you were interested in Nancy's Book Bears with a Past (it is a good book, I have it) I saw there is one on ebay right now    . It's at .99 cents now...I paid nearly $40 for mine...but it is a good book.

Hi all!
I finished my first little panda for the challenge ...and a lot of firsts she was:
First time submitting in a challenge; first time I did pulled toes; first time I sewed in upper eye-lids; first time I hand-painted eyes.... I also gave her little turned down paws. I had a lot of fun making her. Her name is Mei-Lee. She is just 4 inches tall. And, because of this horrible addiction I have , I had to stick some wings on her too! Hoping to be able to finish my other cub soon...
You all have submitted such awesome creations!! Can't wait to see more! I am SOOOO in love with your panda, Tai Shan, Melisa . He is adorable.

I'm in tooo! As panda's are my favorite to make..can't wait to get started! Just ordered some new funky mohair...maybe I'll get creative with that! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
