Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

He is my biggest one of 23"inches
I made him with matte white Mohair and his paws are made with dark blue ultra velvet.

This is Ronnie, he is made of a very sparse Mohair and barely 5"inches tall

After a long break, I finely have time to make some Teddies again.

Here is my "Little Ted",
he is just a bit over 5"inches tall and made of Mohair

I like you to meet Benny,
he is approx. 10"inches tall and made with German Mohair.
Benny has Magnets in his Paws and will hold for you little Toys, or maybe a tiny flower Bouquet.
Benny is stuffed with Polyfil and sliding Plastic Pellets to give him some Weight.
For his PawPads and his inset Belly I used reversed Mohair, so it matches perfectly.
His eyes are German Glass eyes which I underlined with Ultra Suede to give him that sweet, innocent Look.
Benny`s smile melt`s your Heart.
Last, but not least, I gave Benny a shiny Nose

thank you all so much for letting me talk about it.
It helps to get it off my chest. I cannot quit crying right now, it came too sudden.
If I where 10 Years younger, it might not been so bad, but now,I just dont know where and what Job I get in such a hurry. The Money I made, went either into the shop, or Remodeling his House. He already had the House before we got married, and, for some strange reason, he owes more on it than it is worth.
How that came about, I dont know.
And I also dont know the Laws over here, can he just put me out on the street? With no place to go and no money in my pocket?

This is my 2nd marriage, the first one beat me half to death, til I could not take it anymore.
His last beating was in my friends house. Her kids where even there when he beat me and choked me til I passed out.
He wanted me always home, could not have friends.
In Germany where I met him, he was nice, then we came over here, and he started beating me.
He also made sure I had no money, he did not paid the rent or utilitys, so I had to pay for everything.

After the Divorce and a couple years later I met my 2nd Husband ( this one), he was the nicest Person you could find, and I thought everything was fine.
We hardly ever argued, maybe once or twice a Year, and then everything was fine
Now he turns on me too.
I think I must do something wrong

It feels good to "talk" about it. I had never any time to find Friends, it always was work, either at the shop, remodeling the House, or keeping up the Garden

My Husband suddenly decided I am too "YOUNG"" ( haha ) for him, and he wants a Divorce!
I am only 12 Years "younger" than he is, ( 51)
I felt like a bullet hit me, completely unespected, he told everybody in his Family, Friends and at Work, then he finely decided to tell me.

He came up with all kind of other excuses
Now I done some digging and, of course, he found someone else, possibly over the Internet.
He hidens and shredds the Phone Bills, the Credit Card Bills and what not all.
His last "Business Trip" was a Visit to her place.

When I confronted him, he denies everything and told me it was a High School friend, and he saw no reason to tell me about her.
I am soo down right now, I dont know what to do.
In my age, how can I find a Job to support myself?? I just closed my Store a couple of month ago,and , oh, I dont know, I am so confused what to do next

I have a question about E-Bay bidding.
My Bear I listed at a starting bid of $ 0.99 ( with reserve ), now I have 3 bids on him, but it still stayed on $ 0.99.
How is that possible?

Since Years I been buying ALL my Supplies from Edinburgh, til I accidently stumbled over this Board here and checked out Intercal
I wish I heard of them before, their prices are incredible lower than Edinburgh`s.

Hi,

I am working since a week now on more traditional, classical Bear Pattern, and here is my first finished Bear, ( after numerous others before him), but somehow he is not quiet right in my opinion.
Am I missing something, or what did I do wrong??
He sure dont look like those old classical Bears to me.

Pleeease let me know your opinion about him, even if you tell me he is an ugly beginner bear, I can take it!!
( I am weird anyway, I thrive on critic )

I like your site, but, please dont kill me, for my taste it is a bit too busy
I would get rid either of the Clock and put an old fashion Bear there, or get rid of the framed Picture on the right on top.

I need a new  Camera ( not too expensive, I am a poor Bearmaker )
It needs to have enough Pixels (dpi ) so I can submit my Pictures per E-Mail.
The one I have now uses Floppys, I love it, it`s easy and fast to use, but The pictures dont have enough pixels to submit them by e-mail.
Cant adjust it either, I tried it all.
I could use my Cannon, but it runs into too much money for the Film, developement,etc. and then you never know if they turn out good enough to use and send in

I try to figure out how Bear Artist`s can afford Show`s Overseas.
I know it is a good way to advertise your Bears, but the out of Pocket Cost for the Air Fair and Hotel And Food, not talking about the Booth, dont you almost have to be rich??
I attend some smaller Shows and the Bright Star Show in Atlanta, but their Table alone is already $ 250.00 - $ 275.00 and sometimes I sell only a couple of Bears, sometimes more. It still always cost me more than I made.

I am working on a Bear with an open Mouth and would love to try out giving him Teeth, the more realistic ones,
does anybody know where I can get them? They should fit a smaller Bear
