Some of us over on artfire watched the live feed for quite some time bear_original I couldn't stay up to watch that late but was very excited to see baby when i woke up : D

tindlebears

I have noticed several ohio bear sellers here and really need some assistance, when you sell on line to a customer out of state do you charge sales tax...i can't get a clear answer from the website.

You know you can save the hair and spin it into fiber bear_original it makes a great yarn, and can be spun very simply on a drop spindle. Plus dog hair in its fiber form can be up to 80% warmer than wool!  bear_happy

tindlebears

LOL! bearyfun...nope no common sense at all bear_grin
WELCOME edie to our humble wee challenge LOL bear_flower

I would think it being orgainc in nature (like blood) the color may change after a while (like blood)
still, that could be cool too

Well I guess it isn't me LOL!!

This reminds me of the time a man came into my flower shop concerned about a plant his dog ate.  i said "What can you tell me about it" he replies
"it's got green leaves, likes water ...OH and it's in a blue pot with dirt...and he ate the whole thing."
I kid you not this guy was dead serious, he wanted to know if it was poisonous

Has anyone had any experience dealing with bright star promotions. I applied to them for two shows, but haven't heard anything bear_ermm
How long should I wait to hear back form them? It's been 4-5 days, and I emailed to tell them I wanted to update my info on my application ( I just got my vendors license).
Any ideas?
thanks a bunch! ren

tindlebears

LOL scaliwagrrs! Join the fun! you don't have to tell   but if you do tease make it plenty hard to figure out bear_cool

tindlebears

I would totally call your local tv station, make it go public! Make people aware of the flaw in such a law! This in essence IS abuse! even if the owner was not capable of caring for their animal, you don't give it back!!!
Seriously, contact a tv station get this crap on the air!
Sending thoughts her way and yours

tindlebears

I started making mid-sized bears and kept going BIG! I LOVE a bear with physical substance that can take a good huggin'.
but I must confess I am in AWE at the tiny treasures I see around here.  Half the time I don't ever realize how small they are until you see somthing else with it in the pic for size comparison.  They are absolutly NOT less than teddy bears.
A note on pricing...(my opinion only mind you) I think it is up to the individual artist to determine the worth of their bear, and should go uncontested.  We simply can not make judgements on art...I'd  only pay 50 bucks for the mona lisa, but then again she's not my taste...no fuzz LOL

tindlebears

YES! I believe you can! Nancy tillbergs book 101 bears to make has kool-aid dye recipe that says it can work really well on some acrylics. Test a small piece first of course:)

tindlebears

If you don't have a way to do it on your home printer you can go to your local library and have it enlarged.  Take off the seam allowance first to maintain proper proportions bear_original

tindlebears

HI! I know this post is rather aged
but I have to say my favorite supplier of eyes is artistique.com  the colors are amazing! I used them exclusively for my reborns.  I would stay away from mini world, they seem to be slipping these past couple of years.
You could also slit the fur and push the eyes through, forming a natural "socket" just a thought :)
GOOD LUCK!!!

I started out with a sketch of a very simple teddy bear.  He turned out more like a long legged beaver LOL
It would be easier for you to start out with an existing pattern in the begining.
trace the pieces onto another sheet then experiment, make the thigh fatter, longer or bent.  Make the foot pads peanut or pear shapped. you get the idea ;)
make the gusset shorter and wider. things like that should come to you naturally the longer you work with any kind of doll making including teddy bears of course bear_original
