Thank God I'm vegetarian!!! I remember discovering that Smarties had carmine in them and they're often given to kids... YUCK!
I will never be able to look at a melon in the same way again!
At the moment I would love:
A Bear By Kim
A Dusty Attic Bear - moon cat
A Bear Treasures bear - I fell in love with Tia
One of Terries bears
Another Beatrix Bear, I saw a really cute panda in a bear shop in Leeds.
A mohair Charlie Bear
Someone to make me a kitty (as if I didn't have enough real ones!)
Thanks to those who have accepted me as a friend on Facebook! <3
I have a Facebook and I'm also just a measly collector :P
If anyone wants to add me as a friend let me know!
Thanks for the info :)
Does anyone know any good websites where I might be able to find out more about her?
Krista, how on earth is your tree still standing with your cats around and how is your house so fur free? I envy you!!
I love all the big trees, how long do they take to trim?
Does anyone have any idea what year this doll might've been made in? My mum picked her up in a charity shop because she thought she looked like one of the dolls from her childhood in the 50s.
Wow, those are some nice trees! This year our tree is in our bedroom where the cats can't get at it, it's only a 5ft one but I love it and it makes our room really cosy. We can sit up there and watch Christmas comfort films without having our toes bitten and being jumped on every 2 minutes!
Yep well done Marilyn, that's a gorgeous bear and great article!
Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you have asked Santa for a bear this Christmas? I already know that I'm getting three: a Charlie Bear, an artist bear and a little scruffy bear that I can't remember the make of... plus another cuddly Elliot elephant. Yep I'm a lucky girl and can't wait for Christmas!! I'm trying to hold off putting the tree up until the second week in December because I now have three cats (I adopted another ) and one foster kitten so I know it's going to stress me out trying to keep it in one piece, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to trimming the tree and it broke my heart when my Jupey climbed it last year!
So who knows what they're getting for Christmas and who is hoping for a bear or something else that's just as special?
Oh no, I'm so sorry about your cat!
I totally agree, if people have to have fireworks then let it be for one night only like it's supposed to be, I have a terrified Jack Russell Terrier who is scared through October, November and then again at New Year. I'm also for banning them all together, I don't understand why people want their money to go up in smoke! I'd rather buy a bear!!
Poppy
Aww he was such a beauty with such pretty eyes, I can just see the green in them which I think is like what Den has. You can see how happy he is in that photo and so well taken care of, he was a very lucky boy. He was one cat that had the cream and more by the looks of him and I don't mean in a Fable way who is just plain tubby!
Thank you very much for posting his pic, it means a lot to see the little guy who was so well loved in your home.
Hey there, I took this photo yesterday and thought you might like to see it. It's my Jupey and 'his' foster Den.
The kittens are now 3 months old and still nobody is phoning up to adopt. I've even got us a page on catchat.org and our own Cats Protection website: http://dewsbury.cats.org.uk so it's not through lack of trying. Anyway hope you like the pic!
Brilliant news and great photos, I don't think you're crazy and I'm sure everyone else here understands.
I think he's cute, I wish the cats I were fostering were like him!
Thanks for the replies! Wow Laura you must be talented to make bears and teach yourself how to make a cabinet!
I think I'm going to have to go for this:
or this:
They're both from good old Argos, of course they have some fancier ones but they aren't in my price range . So what do you think, the thin one of the wider one? I don't have many bears yet so the thin one would be fine and would fit in the corner in our bedroom, the wider one is sturdier and has room for more bears later on. My other worry is that the cats are going to jump on it and it'll collapse, they wont be allowed in the bedroom unsupervised but accidents can still happen. Any thoughts?
Yes my Jupey is the one that purposely knocks things off and Fable is the one that is addicted to eating tape and plastic. Yes they do look innocent, I wish they looked like that all the time ie asleep :P!
Hey all! Once again I have had to contact poor Beatrix about Penelope bunny, this time someone has chewed her label... My bears are now on top of our chest of drawers in our bedroom but although my foster kittens can't get up there (yet!!) my adult cats can. So I've been searching the net for display cases but haven't found anything I can afford, I've also been looking up shelving systems as we live in a rented house and are not allowed to put shelves on the walls. My question is how do you display your bears especially those of you who have cats? I did a search on here but got carried away, I ended up looking at pictures of your Christmas trees which were very nice but I didn't get anywhere!! Yes I know it's July...
Any guesses as to who is the culprit?
Aww, she's gorgeous and I'm sure she'll get better soon. When Fable was a kitten he managed to eat the tape out of a cassette, luckily he was fine but I have to be really careful because he likes to eat plastic, he has a real fetish for it! I'm afraid animals and kids will always get themselves into mischief, we can only protect them so much and these things happen so don't blame yourself.
Oh wow, great photos! They are all gorgeous and you've made me miss keeping rats, I love the one with it's feet in the air! I can't believe how big that kitty is, I thought my Fable was huge, I bet your back is even worse than mine!!
Aww she's a cutie, well done!
It sounds really nice! Make sure you post lots of pics... especially of the puppy!
I voted! Great bears everyone, it was hard to choose!
