Hi Christine,
Have you spoken to your friend to see if they have actually received the item?If they haven't maybe the delivery people tried to deliver the item and no one was in and they never left a card and will just try again to redeliver it or if it was delivered you might not recieve the confirmation until the delivery driver has handed in his paperwork to say that he had delivered it so that the details can then be put in on the computer. There could be lots of reasons as to where it is.I hope it turns up soon-I would be panicking if I spent all that money too but then there is still time even if it was supposed to be delivered by a certain time.

I think I understand what you mean Jenny bear_happy
You sound like you work similar to me although I handsew all my bears.I pin all my head together making sure that it is even all over and I then stitch one side from nose to neck and the other from neck to nose.By doing it this way the stitches all look the same from the top.It was really awkward when I first started to sew like this as I found it hard to sew backwards but I remember reading somewhere that this was the way to sew the gussets so I persevered and now it is second nature.

I forgot to mention Jenny that we walked our 2 dogs at the Hole of Horcum and our Dobermans collar snapped right near the fence where the road is and we had to quickly grab him and we ended up buying him a new red collar in Whitby the same day.

I am sooo jealous Jenny bear_sad .I love Yorkshire and have been in May this year but would love to go again. We often catch the crew filming heartbeat when we go and I saw Rob on his motorbike last year bear_wub  bear_wub I would love to go this time of the year so I could see all the heather in full bloom. Thanks for the photos -I will just have to dream(for now!!!)

P.S

I had a look the other day Jane and I think your bears are lovely  bear_wub  bear_wub It is nice to be able to see them after all this time and it is a great idea of Julies to enable artists to show off their bears.I had to get Penny to do my website as I am not too good at computers but Julies idea is a great option.

I am doing my first show in a fortnight and still have 6 bears I am trying to finish bear_wacko I have just tried to make a selection of different sizes and styles of bears. There are a few that I have done that I have already decided will go well together.I am hoping to finish just in time though so that I can set them up at home and see what bears will go together and  hope there will be none which would look out of place. There is no reason why you couldn't make bears with a theme in mind but then you would be making bears with the display in mind rather than choosing materials etc that you really want to work with.

I love them both Connie-your bears have such lovely faces and expressions bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub
That is one of my fears-cutting out your pattern and hoping that all the pieces are the right way around.I usually check them and check them again. If it is going to happen it is always when you only just have enough mohair in the first place bear_shocked

Have a great time Jane

Count me in Lisa-it sounds like great fun.I do different styles of bears but the old tatties are my favourites    .There is plenty of time too if we have to be done by the new year-I am a bit of a slow worker sometimes bear_tongue
